nice reveal, Kaschan, well timed I suppose although it has the effect of bringing some heat of Osseric (which I think was about to start building)

Well timed in that it pushes suspicion away from himself?

I believe the reveal because he mentioned what his name was.

However, the reveal seems suspiciously well timed

So going through the list, as I have stated, I believe the Sandy-haired woman is lover linked to the Hairy barbarian (at her choosing, not the barbarian's). Other things I've noted:

I believe, given the order of appearance both on thread and in the most recent story fragment, that Anom is our Purple-haired Woman.

The ghost-assaulted woman is probably Kalse, who was killed by ghosts? I don't think it is Espar possession, but am not entirely sure. the Apostl'eys are described as ghost like, so if we see a woman in desert robes in future story fragments, I would hazard she is indeed possessed.

I think the Jheck Warrior and the Adult Fenn are the scarred man and hairy barbarian (not sure who is who).

Finally, for this post, I think the Sandy-haired woman is one of our cultists. The fact she looked afraid even though eyes showed no fear, makes me think she is in control and a cultist. I'm not sure about the barbarian, and so if someone has a lover connection that suddenly appeared, and they are that barbarian, I would advise revealing who talked to you (if you know) so we can lynch her.

Well, if my observations on the narrative matching with game play, that lends support to my reveal. However, though I am not a cultist right now, it does not mean I can't be recruited later, and so even once we know who people are, that doesn't mean they are on our team.

Rash-man is back! So, the cultists have three, we have nine, two of which are Espers. Okay, okay.

So, who do we go for now? Anyone got any suspects they haven't shared yet?

Ok, I'm believing you for now, because I guess that claiming the scholar would get you called out if you would lie.

Edit: Had "called" typed twice, so I removed one

Osseric talked some weird shit early on, but i don't think that's cultist talk, it was just crazy talk.
Kaschan's reveal is slightly suspicious. Could be that he was recruited, got to keep his character ability and is just proving his worth to town while holding back some crucial information, manipulating town into helping scum.

So some interesting things to point out now that we have Eloth and Fener dead. I think Eloth had a mechanic by which someone killing her would in turn be killed as well. So Fener had a day-vig, and Eloth some kind of defense mechanism not otherwise specified.

View PostEloth, on 03 July 2012 - 11:47 AM, said:

Anyhow, from the wording that the main recruiter ability is given by the cult based Apostléy thingummy (which can jump, as per the OP) this isn't simply a game of whack the recruiter. Of course, getting him is still the most important thing, but it is unlikely to leave us with only 1-2 harmless recruits to mop up.

With that in mind, a few vigs seem needed to get back tempo and get rid of all Bahama-mutants, at the least in the WCS of a recruit a night.
Gambling that recruitment pace is perhaps lower than lynching pace, thus buying town the time to mop up a cult, is wishful thinking.

But many kills? No. And anyhow, a vig isn't something to be used willy-nilly.

This post above is interesting in the context of her and Fener's death. She was obviously giving a warning, knowing that day-vig's were out there because of her own defense mechanism. I also think she is onto something here. I suspect we have mostly vig kills among us, not necessarily a regular NK (again, I would like to point out D'rek thinks this game will last as long or longer than 2 weeks). In fact, this is what Eloth suggests in the next quote below.

View PostEloth, on 03 July 2012 - 12:07 PM, said:

Imho, a town killer would be contraproductive, if anything. We don't know if players lose powers when recruited. A recruited killer would be game breaking. More likely to have 2-3 people with a vig each.

Now, Fener's response is interesting. So apparently he was an inept, ex-agent of the Claw (I think he was giving away role information early on in the below quote).

I'm going to HAVE to disagree. In fact, I think you might be the man I was sent here to kill.

Only.....uh....I.....I can't remember the description they gave me.

Life was easier in The Claw. At least then I usually had 2-3 others to depend on for things like 'remembering who to kill.'

I...uh....are you the one they paid me to kill? Be honest, now. I..uh..I'll kill you if you lie.

What's interesting is Fener originally was putting pressure on Kalse (now dead). From indicating now in the above and below quotes that he is being paid to off someone, I wonder what Fener knew. He obviously had a description of someone he was supposed to kill if we can read into his RPing that much. But what I am most keen on is the red highlighted text below:

View PostFener, on 03 July 2012 - 05:05 PM, said:

Fener moves about as quietly as possible, years of training coming into play - meaning that he would have probably been heard by anyone not asleep, but with all the noise from everyone trying to figure out what was going on, he was actually unnoticed for once.

He steps from an alcove to Kalse's immediate right, looking the possible Target up and down, trying to remember any of the details he'd been given.

"Hmmm. I uh....I don't know. Is it you? I suppose it could be. I'm sure he said something about the target's hair. You have hair....I think. It's too damned dark down here."

Fener's mind isn't the sharpest. He glances around from person to person, the small wooden beads from his long dreads making light 'clicks' as they sway into one another - another obvious flaw in Fener's reasoning skills, for a man who's livelihood often depends on being able to move in silence.

Fener possibly knew who someone was, as soon as he identified their hair color. I would also note that several characters in the narratives have been identified by hair color. I wonder if the comment about it being too dark meant Fener was looking for a darker hair color, say purple. Anyways, any thoughts yet people? I think we can get a lot of information from trying to explore the narrative and people's appearances.

I also tend to believe Kaschan's reveal

I agree the sandy-haired woman seems very likely a cultist

Tellan looks around for anything else worth selling, then jumps when Tellan hears a voice near her, less than a whisper. Tellan turns, sees Kalse shining a lantern near the indistinguishable face of an adventurer, and wonders what is going on

Tellan is female by the way.

Hehe, not at all. We have characters that are male and female. If I suspect a female cultist, voting for a female ups the likelihood that I'll get her.

How do you know I'm actually female? I could have said that to disguise my identity.
