I think you've hit on the key point on why trying to lynch someone we have essentially no proof is Batman is a really bad idea for town. But then again, you aren't town, so this is expected.

If we ignore CLs completely and are extremely lucky finding BM, with reasonable town losses:

Day 2 - 15 town, 4 CLs, 2 Rs, 1 BM
---lynch BM, 1 NK (town), 3 new town Recruits, 1 town becomes BM
Day 3 - 10 town, 4 CLs, 5 Rs, 1 BM2.0
---lynch BM2.0, 1 NK (town), 2 new town Recruits, 1 town becomes BM
Day 4 - 6 town, 4 CLs, 7 Rs, 1 BM3.0
---lynch BM3.0, 1 NK (cult), 2 new town recruits, 1 town becomes BM
Day 5 - 3 town, 4 CLs, 8 Rs, 1BM4.0
---lynch BM4.0

Given how we have to lynch BM 4 times, it is nigh impossible for us to still have significant numbers by the time we get him the 4th time. Yes, cults don't count cumulatively, but on my day 5 there are 12 cult players and 3 town - odds are one of those cults is more than 3, and I was being very generous plus ignoring possible CL abilities, too.

Getting rid of a CL is necessary to slow down the recruiting so we have a chance at being a plurality when BM finally dies.

I don't know why I'm bothering to explain this to you, though, you claim you're a Joker recruit anyways.
