Looks cool.

Dies the Fireish without the harping on the wickan stuff.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Looks very well done. Made me think of THE POSTMAN by David Brin (the good book not the crappy Kevin Costner movie). And with a female lead wandering around with a bow, i couldn't help but think of the Hunger Games as well.

As with all new american TV series, I just hope they have a simple plotted story with a definitive end in mind rather than trying to make an open ended show which either drifts on too long and turns crap, or gets cancelled before reaching it's conclusion (like ALCATRAZ, AWAKE, or FLASHFORWARD for example).

Looks like a cross between The Hunger Games, Game of Thrones and the post-apocalyptic setting of your choice... In a good way.

Kind of odd apparently giving away the entire plot of the pilot (does anyone expect the last scene of the first episode to be anything other than the last scene of the trailer) this far in advance though.

It's got potential but i fear a repeat of TERRA NOVA. Neat setting, cool action when it happens, but mired in stock plots and weak writing.
Note of CANTICLE FOR LEIBOWITZ at the end there.

JJ gets my attention so wil have to try it out at least.

This actually looks pretty good. I'm not sure I agree that showing that computer gives away too much because let's be frank, we all knew the moment that it said "15 years later" that there would be someone out there with Technology. This looks a little bit like a rewamp of Jeremiah, only without the disease and all the adults dying off.
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

It turns out it's not only JJ but also Eric Kripke who created SUPERNATURAL (which is a great show)...I think the potential is there for a big, multi-arced, large-casted drama is there. Only time will tell, but this is definitely on my radar for Fall TV watching.

It's good of them to show us so much of the plot in the trailer. Really gives me nothing to look forward too...

I'll hold my breath on this being good. It being on NBC fills me with nothing but doubt.

Great, another quality looking show for me to invest my time in that will end up been cancelled after 1 or 2 seasons...

The River
Alcatraz
Terra Nova

Not had much luck lately! Here's hoping!

My first thought realizing what it was about. Still its too pretty and the consequences doesn't seem very well explored. Look on the clothing for one or like hell anyone is going to live even close to a big city any more.

Still it might be interesting TV which is damn rare...

That's all from the pilot...unless you are banking on only watching the pilot, then it gives away nothing from the rest of the season. I fail to see how they give away too much in your mind. Sure it gives away a lot of what happens in the pilot (but they have to get you involved in the show before it airs)....it's called marketing.

They've got me interested with the swordfighting. Any show with decent action scenes is guaranteed to drag me through at least a season. I find it makes a big difference in my personal interest with these fantasy/scifi series if they can keep a lot of factions involved at all times too, kinda like they did in LOST. If it's too much of a red vs. blue thing for season after season it gets boring quickly.

I imagine I'll check this out. I always like a good post-apocalyptic setting, and this one seems to have left the earth mostly intact (ie not a nuclear wasteland) so it will be neat to see how they handle the community and "rebuilding society" aspects. I mean, everybody is basically forced to become a back-to-the-earth hippie overnight...and then 15 years pass until the show's current events. If they are too "rebuilt" then it will just seem dumb, but you gotta expect people won't just revert to caveman-ism either. I'd expect something along the lines of medieval europe as a general technology level. No major industry, but people basically able to provide for themselves in small communities.

FALLING SKIES minus aliens, plus HUNGER GAMES minus games. Hmmm....

I'll tune in because it's Abrams, but not particularly stoked.
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

Looks intriguing, and I'm not generally a fan of Abrams.
