I just got a copy of Transworld's latest catalog. The release date for Blood and Bone is (still) listed as November 8, 2012. This is looking pretty firm.

Any change on the release date, I had a feeling it might be pushed back?
Also were a month out so shouldnt we get a prologue or even a first 30 pages like we usually do with ICEs books.

Amazon.uk has it at Nov 22 2012.
Amazon.ca has it at Dec 25 2012 but they are notoriously unreliable with things Malazan and routinely flip to the later .com date at the relative last minute.

That's the Tor edition (hardcover and trade paperback) as opposed to the Bantam editions sold in Canada and the UK.
Myself, I'd rather not pay to import the Bantam one, but I'm not sure I can wait half a year!

It nourishes everything, yet itself feeds upon destruction. We claim to control it, but does it not perhaps cultivate us as a source of food? May it not be that all wood grows so that it can be set ablaze, and that men and women are born to kindle fires?"

I always say this, but then a week or two before the UK release the hype just gets to me.

It doesn't help that Book Depository is always out of stock when I want to preorder.

I'm struggling because I want ICE to make money here in the US... so that he can continue to be published (in the US). But six+ months? Come on, Tor!

Hopefully, with the increasing sales of the series, the gap will be narrowed down. With FOD, it was only 2 months.

Wasn't TtH only a week or two apart? And then DoD and TCG went back to like a month delay. (Although I got my SFBC edition of TCG before most people had the Bantam one.)

Iirc TtH was a blip mostly due to .uk delaying the release and .ca and .uk holding to their later dates and not moving them for a change.
With DoD and TCG .com always had a 2+ month delay from the .uk date, and .ca pulled a last minute switch.
Which just goes to show you cannot trust Canadians!
Oh, wait...

Latest Transworld catalog bumps the release back a few weeks to November 27. But, we should still have it in about a month.

Make one your bathroom book and the other your bedroom book. They'll never find out about each other, if you're careful.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I should get an early read. . . But how early now that the book comes out in about a month, I have no idea. . .
And I promised Werthead that I'd try to get you guys the map of the new continent!
Cheers,
Patrick
