The Legend of Korra

That is probably the only down side in Airbender, a load of the filler does seem a bit too kiddish but the story more than makes up for it, some episodes have the hairs standing up, survive the 'Scooby Doo' and it will be more than worth it!

This season of Korra is pretty interesting so far. The story side of things, when looking for a larger plot arc, is still missing. I assume it is because the villains are still somewhat mysterious. That said, the characters are always great and they can carry the show on their own (Mako and Bolin's grandma!).
Also, it is nice to be reminded that Tenzen is one of the better benders around (spoiler for last episode):
It looks like this season might be a set up for the final book of the series and not necessarily a self contained story like the previous arcs.

Except Zaheer has been an airbender for a month. Still I agree it was awesome to see that he knows what he is doing.
Im curious on peoples thoughts re the romance. Mako dated (I forget her name, industries owner), then he broke it off to be with Korra. By season 2's end we learn that it was not meant to be. They still bring it up, they still highlight how awkward the situation is at times. Do we expect him to get back with one of them. Is there a point to this plot line. Was it a mistake. Is it just to add drama? To connect with teens?

I think it adds drama...BUT I think it's actually been added because man, that's how life is and how teenagers act. They break up, they talk about it, they get with others, then break up with them, and then get back with the first person, they date that person's other friend...it's a sordid pool of relationship hell. That rings fairly true, and is likely the reason it was added. Watching Mako, Korra, and Asami dance around each other now and again infuses a reality to the situation, ESPECIALLY with a close-knit group of teen friends.

I totally agree with QT - I'm sure it's just in there to add realism to the relationships/friendships that have formed between the members of Team Avatar.

Enjoyed the finale. Bit too much mirroring of S04 of last airbender though.

More deaths than I expected this season. Not sure what Korra's condition suggests for the future.

Watched the final five eps last night. Some decidedly dark stuff. This has definitely been my favorite season of Korra. The art & design has been stunningly good, and the action has been on point. Books 3 and 4 are definitely gonna be two halves of a whole though.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

Finished it myslef this afternoon. The last two eps were nothing short of brilliant. GREAT stuff. And I love that they ended it on a two-toned note.
1. Korra is emotionally and phsyically drained from her battle with the poison andHenry Rollins Zaheer, and the recoup should be interesting. But that was a dark way to end it. I liked that.
2. I'm not going to lie, my eyes brimmed with emotion at Ginora getting upgraded to master and getting her tattoos. Loved it.
Can't wait for Book 4 (which is aprently written, storyboarded and in already in post-production.
I'll be sad it's the end though. I wonder if the guys have any plans to tell any more stories in this world? Possibly present day stuff?

I think QT means Avatar in a modern day setting.

Bingo.
LAST AIRBENDER was like Feudal-era, and KORRA is more cusp of industrial era...so I'd love to see a next series take place amongst our current technology and such.

So Season 4 is gonna premiere on October 3 on the Nick website. As in October 3, 2014. Less than a month from now. And the whole season will be online only. Called Balance.
