Multiple alts would make the most sense I think, Mod's couldn't hold certain alts since they'd know how everyone was doing in the game which would be rather unfair.

Voting wise i'm unsure, though the zombies could become a block is there are ten of them, if there are only a couple of players controlling ombie alts that doesn't give them much power in votes and we are supposed to be in fear of them, so I would assume they each have votes. Possibly though to limit a voting block there is some kind of catch, like only more than one vote can be cast in x situation (like, as someone suggested, only being able to vote for different players, though again that seems to put them at a disadvantage). I thought about votes possibly counting twice in one alt as well and similar mechanics.

I suppose the best thing to do is just look out of similar wordings, posting times, forced interaction etc, as already suugested. I think the trains will be what gives us a clearer indication of what we're looking for though since if it isn't just straight forward one alt, one vote, it is going to show up there.

I thought there looked like an awful lot of names listed in the OP. I just brushed it off as there were 24 players which is more than usual, without actually looking at the number posted by PS.

So the game starts with 9 zombies? So one player needs to post in 5 seperate alts and the other needs to post in 4? Man if that is true this is a great time to lynch the low posters. That would be impossible for me to manage if that is the case. I don't know of too many people that would be able to do that.

It depends on how many players are zombies. You could easily have 3 different zombie recruiters with 2 retainers each or something like that. One player managing 5 alts seems extreme to me

Attack? Sorrit slips, Galain defends and re defends. Putting pressure on a player is not unknown this early. Yet thinking my "attack" warranted much suspicion from you casts my eyes towards you. By saying this, this early, you would scare people into not making accusations on thread for fear of being looked at like what you've just done. If you look Galain even used the same lettering and exclamation marks as Sorrit which again could be a subtle form of signalling and his defense could in fact be an indication that Sorrit is someone we should look at. Then there is you also casting doubt on my observation and using the word attack to actually make it sound worse than what it was which is a vote. Interesting!

I'm just trying to understand more. From what I see, Sorrit's "slip" is assuming there are only 24 players. A mistake I made myself. Doesn't mean I'm on the same team as him, it just means we weren't reading properly.

I'm not against putting pressure on people, quite the opposite. But I get very tired of the "you defended this person, therefore you must be on the same team!" argument. And now, because I disagree with you, I must be on their team too! Why did you not include the stuff about punctuation and lettering in your original post? If you are going to put pressure on someone, you need to say why you think they deserve it, because a vote on it's own is simply going to raise (in my opinion, justified) ire, which you can then point to as if it was an overreaction.

And Anomandaris, I am well aware of the odds. However, I still don't think it is necessary to start a fight without at least a general idea of who is on your team. These are long days. What is the rush?

Yeah we made the same mistake. There were only 24 people in the sign ups yet there are now 32 alts. So frankly in my opionion there is no slip up. We had a hard enough time getting 24 people to play the game so there are only 24 players in the game with 32 alts. So either we have Dinivan and JLV each playing 4 alts each or we have 2 players in this game playing 5 alts each or some combinatiion of players playing multiple alts. That is the only thing that makes sense to me. So frankly I'm going after low posters this game like you wouldn't believe.

We routinely end up speed-lynching on Day 1 because we wait 12-15 hours before starting to play properly. Seems eminently sensible to start early. It's not like there's going to be a lot of knowledge about who is in which faction available on Day 1 anyway - finder hasn't had time to do any finds, no-one will have changed sides so you can't look for tells there. You might be able to pick out some human faction/other splits based on how people are talking about the game, but that's pretty much it.

Speaking of which, if there are 31 alts and only 24 players, then that means some players must have multiple alts. My guess is that the zombie players have several alts each, which means we should be on the look out for people who sound like they're jumping between alts (eg. same mannerisms from different players, overly cute/forced interaction between two players that only ever seem to show up at around the same time, that sort of thing).
