I'm really pressed for time today as well. How long do we have today? I wanted to go back and have a look at Serc but I don't think i'll have the time at all. Some of you are expressing an interest in Tellan, is this because of his high activity day one and since then how quiet he has become? A shift in pattern or play? Can someone tell me why they think he is the recruiter?
The train shifted from Liosan to Emurlahn quickly but it had to be done quickly as we only had one hour to lynch. It is looking worrisome that we are not getting the numbers online for discussion, but with it being paddy's weekend, some of us had mother's day and friends birthdays too, this could be forgiven, i'll be able to have a lot more online time tomorrow but that'd be after time out. I'll need to leave a vote in the next hour or so. I'm away again now, heading to the parents house to see my mom, cards presents etc I may get a chance to post when I get back.

ok, so having caught up the first thing I find strange is Rashan's attack on D'riss. I believe he pointed put at the time that D'riss was symping because she disagreed with the case on Emur, and then followed Emur on the vote. I don't find the vote strange, it was the only viable alternative at the time, and I don't believe that disagreeing with a case makes anyone a symp.
So from what I can see, Rashan's new case is based on another accusation of fake-symping. I have no doubt I will be the next accused of symping, but I disagree with his case.
So by far the scummiest play I have seen so far is from Rashan. I would like to hear more from Serc and Mockra as to why they haven't been voting, and I would like Liosan's input as well, to get his thoughts on the vote swing. He didn't defend himself at all, if I remember correctly, which I find strange

I don't base it just on symping. I don't do that with cases, there have to be other reasons along with the symping. My reason for my suspicion in Tellan is that he was active and obviousmode fake symping me early in the game. Since I accused him of pretending to be a symp so we wouldn't lynch him, he has been dead silent. So that's my justification there. I believe he is a recruiter that attempted to set himself up as a symp or wild townie, and when called on it he vanished, hoping it would be forgotten.

Let me explain my hunch again. We all agree that there's likely to be at least one scum in the lower posters. Fener, Ruse, Emurlahn, and Omtose are the 4 lowest posters.
Fener - 2 posts, shite, where is he? Suppose we'll find out on monday.
Ruse - Family emergency, I didn't want to lynch him based on that
Omtose - has posted content, at least that's how I remember it. Of the four, he has the most to look back on if he changed his patterns.
Emurlahn - A few posts, only 1 that was original (and it wasn't good in my opinion), mostly regurgitating what the thread was saying the whole time.
He is 2nd on the Liosan train, which was the person quite a few people were talking about lynching yesterday.
D'riss is defending him, and is FOURTH on the Liosan train, which is when people really started piling on.
THEY are the reason the Liosan train is the big one right now, and there is a connection between them.

Goddammit. I'm telling you right now, Liosan will come up inno. Emurlahn is scum, D'riss his symp/underling. Look at their position on the train on Liosan. They're the reason the Liosan train is ahead. Gah. D'riss completely ignores that Emurlahn is a low content, middle of the road poster, and focuses on the lack of case that I apparently imagined.
The way D'riss disagreed with my desire to lynch Emurlahn is what made me suspicious of symping. He didn't say that we shouldn't be lynching low content posters, he just pointed out a flaw in my argument and completely ignored the rest.
Out of the low posters, Emurlahn seemed like the best bet to me, and clearly to a few other people to. My decision to push it instead of switching to Liosan was based in something that I strongly believed.
I was wrong. If you're going to lynch me for swinging the vote, so be it, but I'll fight tooth and nail if you try to say that my cases are based simply on people defending eachother.

Day 1, I was leaving before voting time and there were plenty of people around to handle it. Day 2 I was in the process of reading to make a decision, very near time out, and the vote swing happened, and my vote wasn't needed and wouldn't have mattered if I had wanted to oppose.

Vote Tellan
I think you could be on to something with the fake symping.
I've got my suspicions but they can wait until I get a proper read through.

I do find it strange that Tellan went quiet so suddenly, especially after getting some heat. People are voting him now, pressuring him so I think i'd like to hear what he has to say about the attention and his disappearance.
How certain do you feel on this one Rashan, if it is absolutely certain I'd urge caution on a Tellan lynch.
Seems like a lot of people are going to be busy over the next day or so though which might make things difficult so far as advancing cases and observing interactions goes.

I'm not sure what to make of the Tellan thing either. I agree that it looked like he was fake symping Rashan.
Liosan plays a minimal ammount and with a disgusting amount of role playing.
Rashan seemed to swing the lynch around.
Atrahal just bugs the shit out of me. He seemed to be dancing around the whole end of the Day 2 lynch goading it on. I could see him working with Rashan OR it just being a case of my not trusting his playing style.

Yeah, at times it really does feel like there is some relationship between the two, I commented on it day one since it seemed to stand out to me even then but it still seems to be there and between the, post count aside, their influence on thread is pretty strong. I think more so than Silanah's a lot of the time, though to be fair that could be more to do with people not having a lot of play time and following the strong appearing/volumous players.

Well we got the scummy bastard in the end because KL and her awesome lover girl figured out who he was because of that speed lynch. I'm thinking we will find the same for much the same reason but since this is a cult game I'm thinking about going after who it swung away from not who started the swinging.
But before I do I would like to get someone elses opinion other than Liosan as to what Imperial Household title mean? I think they mean they are the Emperors own and are therefore town. But I don't want my personal opinion to be wrong and I base my next move based on a faulty understanding of the relationship between the Emperor and his own household.
Damn conference calls today interupped me getting fully caught up yet.

I am reading the thread fucktard.
A flaw in your argument would make me disagree with you too. I have addressed your issue with the voting. What I don't understand is why you are picking on D'riss when several people disagreed with your argument. I can't find the ost by Olar Ethil, although I remember him saying he didn' t think much of your case, Atrahal says much the same thing, and is actually quoted by D'riss.
So your argument was based on the need to lynch people who weren't contributing. D'riss agrees with Atrahal, who points out that there is some content in Emurlahn's posts. Then you push so hard for a speed lynch that doesn't give Emurlahn a chance to defend himself.
What I also find odd is this post, from earlier in the game:
So we need to pile on the highest train to get a lynch. Fine, lynches help town, and any lynch is better than no lynch. So what made you go from "we need to get a lynch, and voting on the highest train is our best bet" to " I swear to god, Emurlahn is scum, we need to take everyone off the highest train and on to this other train and spped lynch him before he has a chance to come back on"?
More than anything else, I find it scummy that you push so hard for a lynch so close to timeout. There is no reason why you could not have waited for time out, built a case on Emurlahn and tried for a lynch the next day, when everyone has time to think clearly and Emurlahn has a chance to defend himself. There are still plenty of players, and this promises to be a long game. Why the rush? Speed lynches like this just make both you and Liosan look scummy.
I would like some clarification from Atrahal about this post, too. Suddenly someone agreeing with you is strange?

1 hour left. No other way to do it. Out of the 4, Fener was modkillable at the time, and Ruse had a family emergency. So I looked at Omtose v. Emur, and Omtose had more content. So that leaves Emur, who barely had any. Yes, there was content. Was there a decent amount of it? No, not really. Then the way D'riss acted caused me to become (wrongly) sure of myself.

D'riss made that happen. And stop saying speed lynch, you're not helping yourself there. Liosan was about to be lynched, mostly, for RPing. That's dumb. Emur and D'riss's positions on the train, along with the way D'riss acted, made me feel confident in an Emur lynch.

See above. To reiterate, Liosan was being lynched for a bad reason, and I saw the possibility that Emur was scum as MUCH higher. Why waste a day, there were a ton of people around, and clearly some agreed, because the lynch swung.
I'm not going to respond on this anymore. I've made clear what I believed, and if you don't believe me, so be it.

I was certain, and I was wrong. I wanted myself or Lio killed to stop the inevitable wasted time lynching me or discussing it, because I was horrendously wrong. Nothing unreasonable there, I want to win.
I was the one that the fight goddamn you was directed against.
I was completely surprised that no one considered me suspicious today.
I still think Tellan is up to something. He's completely vanished, and his fake symping of me seems up to something.
Vote Tellan

Don't be because I do find something suspicious about what went down yesterday. I just don't know if it should be directed towards you or Lio?

Well I mostly got caught up and feel up to date. I'm out until tomorrow. As I won't be able to get back on before the lynch I need to lay down my vote. I'm going on the assumption that Emurlahn was town I feel that we need to lynch either Rashan or Liosan for the lynch swing and because of the recruiting in the game I think it should be Liosan.
vote liosan.
vote liosan.

BTW, in case there is any lingering confusion, Counselor is just another imperial household title - they are not necessarily any different in alignment than Ministers.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.

I explained my reasoning. The way D'riss defended was suspicious to me. I was wrong.

So your argument was based on the need to lynch people who weren't contributing. D'riss agrees with Atrahal, who points out that there is some content in Emurlahn's posts. Then you push so hard for a speed lynch that doesn't give Emurlahn a chance to defend himself.

He said 1 voting, ie starting a new train.
I agree. I am open to Emurlahn, Tellan, or Fener as well. Or Liosan, if we need to, but who is around right now? We need to pile on the highest train.

Ok, the emperor is awake, having just finished a catch up. I see the suspicious behavior of emurlahn, the abnormal RP of Lio, and the low posting of Fener, and raise up the question of Tellan. I havent seen him around thread for a while, and hasnt posted much in the way of content since the defense of Rashan, and that makes me suspicious. I am open to an Emurlahn, Fener, or Tellan lynch. Lio seems too much like a noob going overboard with RP, not like a recruiter. (didn't PS say scum was "mostly recruiters," not all recruiters. What would the rest of scum be?

D'riss made that happen. And stop saying speed lynch, you're not helping yourself there. Liosan was about to be lynched, mostly, for RPing. That's dumb. Emur and D'riss's positions on the train, along with the way D'riss acted, made me feel confident in an Emur lynch.

Why is that lynch anything other than a speed lynch? With ONE HOUR left in the day you say "OMG guys, I KNOW Emur is scum!!!" Clearly some agreed, and I find that suspicious as well, and then everyone was left with having to change their vote or miss the lynch, and then I bet you would have attacked those who didn't change as not wanting to get the lynch.
And you keep saying that Emur had little content, but from what I can see Liosan had way less content. He may have a higher post count but 90% of what he has said is summarising. At least Emur gave his opinion, even if it tended to follow what was going on on the thread at the time.
And now you are not going to respond anymore. Like a child, throwing his toys out of the cot because I wont believe you. Wasn't it you saying we need more discussion? Wasn't it you saying it was strange that no one thought you suspicious? Wasn't it you saying "I was wrong, maybe you should just kill me"?
