The ministers sat about in the one remaining servicable room in the palace for such a group. Wafts of conversations passed about like smoke. Some ministers would stop on occassion to pen a poem, or write a few lines that they planned to sell later. On the few occasions the Emperor appeared, they looked to their decorum, but generally the atmosphere was relaxed. That was, until the Minister of Civil Services began to throw accusations about. The majority managed to maintain a gentile air and ignored him for the most part, voicing their own suspicions about who was being bribed by who. That is, until someone quietly whispered "he throws accusations around like someone throws money around." This quickly morphed into a cry of "he must have money! he has been bribed!"
And suddenly the gentil nobles became a ruthless mob as they ran him out of the palace.
Karosis (Sir Thursday) was Minister of Civil Services.
