If the game goes on much longer, i'll be switching to full-on exam mode, which effectively means "going nocturnal", once classes are done, on thursday.

I'm at work and reading this so it's taking a while. Writing thoughts as I read:

I'm concerned about the amount of posters looking for low posters on day 1. Lynching through a case is preferable to low post lynching because it gives town more information for day two and the wider game. Lynching on the basis of low posting on the day 1 doesn't generate much in the way of discussion, because there's not much to be said for someone who doesn't say anything. But it's good if you hit a brick wall later in the game. Happily this seems to have been dropped as we've had a couple of cases made.

Okaros and Rash's cases seem to be sticking (at least to me). I want to see Oka's response, because I didn't think they were particularly scummy so I'd like to see more of what they have to say. I think Karosis is going on a campaign against low posting, which may not be a bad thing, but it's a bit concerning in day 1

I can understand Rash's attitude to being a day 1 lynch but Tellen seems to be primarly posting regard to Rash.

Sorry about the summary nature of this post, I couldn't get on the game as early as I wanted to, so I'm playing catch up and working at the same time.

I can't tell how serious Sorrit is... Sarcasm radar is generally not so good :p

One example. I am swamped in work so it's hard to get all relevent posts up. This shows you want to be agreeable, fit in. Made to look like you are contributing. You didn't vote this day which also gives you a low profile. You also say the underlined quite a lot. Prompting other people to defend themselves yet never adding much yourself. A lot of your posts have been like that.

Day 1. Nice choice I don't casually vote when I'm confused, and there was a lot going on that day. I was there at the end of the day to hammer, if required, which when I'm really unsure of what the hell is going on is the only helpful thing I can do for town. That's a play style thing more than anything, if you're going to pull quotes out of their context at least do it from later in the game when there's more information avaliable to all players.

I know I'm useless in early game, it still doesn't make me scum :p

I have to say I'm with barghast on this one. gamelon's rebuttal is rather flimsy. anyone reading the thread can see that tennes has been posting more content posts than gamelon.

also, 'poor baby', 'kiddo', 'darling'? condescending much?

No, really?

hmm.
remove vote

today, I'm inclined to trust the judgment of our emperor, and Mockra.

I'm open to voting either Tellan or Gamelon. His play once under scrutiny does not reassure my suspicions.

Sorry :p

I'm all over the place tonight, I know. Frantically trying to finish an assignment I've been neglecting a bit due to being more interested in visitors, mafia, and suvudu cage matches. Hilariously, I'm done with it tomorrow, but I need the time for mafia now. Typical.

Also, (this being a book forum and all) if you had to read this horrible, horrible attempt at a novel (more than once!!!!) it would make your nose bleed too

I don't expect it to :p I just want to have a bit of a whinge.

The worst part is that I can't even talk about why the assignment is so bad because it's all highly confidential and stuff. I figure having a wah about it in mafia is allowed, since it's extra super secret :p

Just a few posts from you Gamelon. Here is another one of your summaries. You again make no decisive decision, you don't vote or put pressure anyone you just offer targets.

Caught up and I am both rather amused and slightly annoyed.

Korvalain, I don't remember you contributing anything except a tantrum because there were a few votes on you. It's not like we're on different fucking timezones or anything. My best time for posting (since you oh-so carefully looked up my posts, missed that and completely exaggerated 'useful post' count and didn't exactly back up anything, nice ) is now, and there's often not a lot of people around unless there is a lynch due. This happens to me a lot, so it amuses me that you've cried about how you get lynched for the same reason a couple of time, and then proceed to try and attack me based on the reason I tend to get looked askance at. While I'm not going to throw a hissy fit about it, I do find that to be frustrating.

Atrahal, I'm not sure how I'm supposed to argue with "gut feelings". Given your play thus far that's a fairly poor effort. Pretty sure you can do a little better than that :p
You and D'riss are still squabbling, I see. That's starting to look like a vendetta, quite frankly.

I do note that Silanah has been trying to get a Tellen lynched for what, two days now? And each time there's never been much traction for the train, even though people say Silanah's choices are affecting other people. I find that very odd given that they've been voting on someone who's been behaving suspiciously from day one (possibly fake symping and then lying low from then onwards) and not managed to get enough support for the train.

If you want I can find the post that you stated you were worried that people may follow Silanah onto a train. You basically contradict youself here.

Now who has left who? Leaving me with Okaros, who feels scummy.

...Wait...

You feel scummy too Bargy! You're all scummy! Ewwwwwwww! Stop touching me!

Has anyone not been pointed as scum? Because I bet it's them!

So... PS and Silanah...
I'm watching you both! Got my eye on you! :D

How can you say there is no resistance to a ruse Lynch? 2 days now and a bunch of non commital "well, i'd vote him" 's If thats not resistance, I don't know what is.

I just can't figure out if Barghy has been recruited or not. He's a slippery little ashikaga.

The same thing has happened with Okaros as with Ruse though. Let's face it, the fact that Ruse only has two votes in this game means absolutely nothing, there have been a couple of fairly last minute lynches in this game.

I don't know, I just feel like there's something we're missing. Maybe it's because Ruse's play is similar to Atrahals in that he's been fairly constantly in the limelight, and I'm not sure a recruiter would want that, especially after Atrahal turned out to be scum.

I know this isn't helpful of me, but we're reaching a point where time is getting short. We're looking at potentially 9 recruits, assuming there's at least two scum, and while that's worst case scenario it's something that's in the back of my mind when I see the two main lynch candiates for the game and I'm unconvinced by either case.

Subtle defence of Ruse for a few posts until it looked as if he was going down.

I'd hope recruits don't know each other, else this game would be very much unbalenced in favour of scum! In any case, both Lio and Emur were inno, so why would Atrahal and Ruse want to swing the train either way? The way they were playing seems like a horrifically blatant way to play if Ruse is the recruiter.

I'm feeling the same about this blowing up. At least with killer scum games you have a good idea of when D-Day is.

To be honest, his defence makes me want to lynch him, and if this were early game I would be perfectly happy to. I fucking hate self voting.

The three "spam" messages come between the time we were discussing Ruse. Again this post you look to defend Ruse a little more yet you think he may have to be lynched.
