Mmmkay, so in the lynches of Kalse and Korvalain you were more than happy to put one at L-1 and hammer the other with hours left on the clock, but now thaat it's you, you want us to take our time?

If I was a suspicious type I would say you seemed rather over-eager to remove any competition because you knew they weren't on your team.

And my suggestion was just that, a suggestion. It's a thought that a few people have brought up so far, so why are you getting so defensive about it now?

EDIT: spelling

Vote Gamelon

I am unsure about the reveal. I believe Tellan to be recruited so even if he were a finder he would probably lie. I have had a full read through this weekend, and I think Gamelon is one away from winning the game. I believe Serc, Omtose and Tellan to be his recruits and one other from one of Barghast, Okaros and Mockra. If we lynch wrong today and Gamelon recruits then I think he could win.

Day one. he stayed as low as possible without getting into the meat of it. He summarised which always pings my radar. He was worried about people following Silanah's lead because she is PI. Stated his desire to vote but held off and held off until it wasn't needed, so he was not on the first train.

Day two. He was mentioned early on by Korvalian. He follows other peoples votes, first Fener, then Lio and then Emurlahn. Made no case himself. A lot of his posts were just rehashing what other people said.

Day 3.

post #862 Sorrit makes a list of possible connections and includes Gamelon as a suspect. That night Serc kills Sorrit. I think Gamelon is a different cult to that of Ouchi and Ikki Ikki and it all fits. If we lynch him we prevent the game being over today.

Page 26 and 27 a few people start to mention Gamelon a lot. He is high up on most peoples' minds. he briefly defends himself and then offers an alternative (Tellan) for people to look into.

Kalse votes for Gamelon. No one follows, probably because there were scummier people then. Gamelon votes for Atrahal.

I haven't brought my notes from home that continue this line of thought.

My point being since we nailed Atrahal we have been focusing on his connections and then connections to Korv and Kalse. Yet Gamelon hasn't been looked at since.

I am that certain that Gamelon is the last recruiter that if he turns out to be anything else you can lynch me tomorrow.

Ok I know I am bad at hinting so heres my best shot: Serc did not start the game with a vig ability. He did, however, vig sorrit. The fact that he vigged sorrit should NOT PI him.

Ok, I think Sil probably gave Serc a vig or something. Serc isn't PI according to Sorrit. Fair enough.

Edit: Meant Sil ratehr than sorrit. Bloody S names.

People seem rather non-committal about the reveal. Either believe it or don't. People are skirting around the obvious.

Now that I have the full reveak, I see 3 possibilities.
1: you are telling the truth and Bargy is the Ouchi recruiter.
2: your reveal is true but you have been recruited and are framing bargy.
3. You are trying to deflect from yourself because you are the ouchi recruiter

3 is unlikely, since he had no heat prior to the reveal.

Im guessing it's number 2.

If you think it's number 2 then you would have to ignore the fact that the first person to try to recruit him dies. Because the only person who has died unexpectedly is Sorrit, and he wasn't a recruiter.

And Serc claimed that he vigged Sorrit, but we haven't had any other vigs which is what I was expecting. I figured that there would be at least one other player with a vig to balance the fact that there was more than one scum recruiter, so potentially Serc could have lied about that to get us to CI him.

At the risk of simplifying this too situation too much, it feels very much like what Rashan was trying to do.

Edit: Put my post in the quote brackets :p

Number 2 makes no sense. If my reveal is true I can't be a recruit. If I'm framing bargy it hardly matters whether or not it's true anyhow. It comes down to why I would do that?

If I'm lying, the only other thing that really makes sense is that I am a recruit, because the move makes no sense for a recruiter.

If I'm a recruit, what am I doing? What would a fake reveal achieve? Well, you say it feels like what Rashan was trying to do, and that is the only thing that can work - there's no reason for a recruit to just arbitrarily try and direct a lynch with a reveal unless he's directing away from somewhere. Does that really seem more likely than me just telling the truth? Who am I even directing away from?

This post is weird.

He dismisses me as recruited and probably lying. He then says he thinks Gamelon is one away from a win and that I'm his recruit. But he points out Gam hasn't been under pressure. Does he think I just revealed for lolz then? Bit of a disjointed case.

I also don't ever like the "If I'm wrong you can lynch me tomorrow" line.

We could test your reveal and lynch Barghy or yourself but I think if we do that and Gamelon recruits tonight then I think he'd win. If we lynch you and you turn out to be one of his recruits then I'm unsure if we'd be holding off the inevitable.

To get Barghast lynched and win the game. I need to look at your interactions more closely. Maybe Gamelon hinted at Barghast for you.

Seems a bit stupid no? Both myself and Gamelon were getting very little pressure. If I'm his recruit why bother trying to direct the lynch instead of just letting it hit a random townie?

5 votes Omtose: Okaros, Ruse, Atrahal, Tennes, Olar Ethil

Players not voting: Korvalain,

First they flocked to one minister, peering at him with intensity. But they weren't fully convinced of his guilt. Then, as one of them said, "I think it's him", they wheeled about and attacked the Master of Ceremonies instead. They pushed him over, and heard an odd clinking sound in his sleeves. They lifted him up, hefted his sleeves and cried "He hasn't sold a painting in months! Why are his sleeves weighed down as if by boulders?!"

The knocked his ceremonial hat off of his head and with no further protest forthcoming they pushed him down the dried-up well in the forecourt.

Atrahal (K0rbas) is dead. He was Jibu, Master of Ceremonies and a Bribed Minister of the Ouchi group

The counselor paused, his brush in mid-air as if questioning the nature or strength of what he had just written. He sighed, his hand just wasn't steady enough to write as he wished. If he could have expressed explicit words through his Noh dancing, he perhaps could have convinced them of their err. He had long since seen the writing on the wall. Literally that is - several ministers had written threatening accusations on the shoji paper in the entrance of his low-slung house. Accusing him of bribing others. Accusing him of being, of all things, a samurai in minister's clothing! With what money? Yes…yes…he had money hidden under the rock in his garden. But it was what he had been given, certainly not enough to give to others. But by this point, they wouldn't, no couldn't, believe he was only the messenger.

Well, he would not give them the satisfaction of grilling him for answers. He let his brush fall and twirl in one final flourish on the paper. He looked at it, and thought "There! There is the emotion the rest of the writing lacked. All I needed was the proper inspiration." He took his personal seal, and stamped the bottom of the paper.

The others found him a few hours later, the tanto which he had used to slit his throat next to his outstretched hand and his final will on the writing table.

D'riss (Lady Bliss) was Shonagon (Bribed - Minor Counselor of the Imperial Household and member of the Ouchi group). Cultural specialty was Noh Dance. She'll never dance again…….

I'm not entirely sure what your point is with these quotes. Tennes' belief is that Gamelon is of a different cult, in which case would it not make more sense that Gamelon would be eager to lynch off his rivals? And if Gamelon is Ouchi, then I would think he would vote for at least one of the above to distance himself a little? Especially once the lynch became a certainty? I'm not saying Gamelon is or is not cult/recruit/recruiter/whatever, but I think that the more likely answer is that the last three lynches you quote happened hours before the end of the day, and (like me) Gamelon did not have time to get back on before the lynch.

What I keep getting stuck on is why the hell would Tellan lie? But also, why tthe hell would he reveal? There are much more reliable ways of getting a lynch than revealing, as this game has shown, and it would have made much more sense to build a case on Barghast, which is an easy thing to do once you know who is scum, than to reveal but have nothing to back it up with, not even a basic case on Barghast, just a blank statement. I'm totally confused as to what is going on with Tellan. I still think we need to lynch one of them to test the reveal, otherwise it is something we are going to keep coming back to.
