Sadaijin (左大臣^?), most commonly translated as "Minister of the Left", was a government position in Japan in the late Nara and Heian periods. The position was consolidated in the Taihō Code of 702. The Asuka Kiyomihara Code of 689 marks the initial appearance of the Sadaijin in the context of a central administrative body called the Daijō-kan (Council of State). This early Daijō-kan was composed of the three ministers—the Daijō-daijin (Chancellor), the Sadaijin and the Udaijin (Minister of the Right).^[1]

The sadaijin was the Senior Minister of State, overseeing all functions of government with the Udaijin as his deputy.

Within the Daijō-kan, the sadaijin was second only to the Daijō Daijin (the Great Minister, or Chancellor of the Realm) in power and influence. Frequently, a member of the Fujiwara family would take the position in order to help justify and exercise the power and influence the family held.

The post of sadaijin, along with the rest of the Daijō-kan structure, gradually lost power over the 10th and 11th centuries, as the Fujiwara came to dominate politics more and more. The system was essentially powerless by the end of the 12th century, when the Minamoto, a warrior clan, seized control of the country from the court aristocracy (kuge). However, it is not entirely clear when the Daijō-kan system was formally dismantled prior to the Meiji era.

• Bunki 2, in the 7th month (1502): Minamoto Yoshitane was elevated to the 2nd tier of the 4th class of kuge officials; and he expressed thanks to the emperor for that honor. In the same month, the name of Ashikaga Yoshitaka was changed to that of Yoshizumi.^[4]
• Bunki 3 (1503): There was a great drought in the summer of this year.^[4]

• Eishō 1 (1504): A great famine.^[4]

• Eishō 5, in the 1st month (1508): A new revolt in Miyako and the assassination of Hosokawa Masamoto encouraged former-Shogun Ashikaga Yoshitane in believing that this would be a good opportunity to re-take Miyako. He assembled his troops and marched at their head towards the capital; and by the 6th month of Eishō 5, he was once more in command of the streets of Miyako. Starting in 1508, Yoshitane is known as the Muromachi period's 10th shogun^[5]

• Daiei 5, on the 1st day of the 1st month (1525): All ceremonies in the court were suspended because of the lack of funds to support them.^[6]
• Daiei 6, on the 7th day of the 4th month (1525): Go-Kashiwabara died at the age of 63 years. He had reigned 26 years; that is, his reign lasted 3 years in the nengō Bunki, 17 years in the nengō Eishō, and 6 years in the nengo Daiei. The emperor was found dead in his archives.^[6]

Emperor Go-Kashiwabara is enshrined with other emperors at the imperial tomb called Fukakusa no kita no misasagi (深草北陵) in Fushimi-ku, Kyoto.^[7]

Kugyō (公卿) is a collective term for the very few most powerful men attached to the court of the Emperor of Japan in pre-Meiji eras. Even during those years in which the court's actual influence outside the palace walls was minimal, the hierarchic organization persisted.

In general, this elite group included only three to four men at a time. These were hereditary courtiers whose experience and background would have brought them to the pinnacle of a life's career. During Go-Kashiwabara's reign, this apex of the Daijō-kan included:

• Udaijin
• Nadaijin
• Dainagon

I chose Korv night 2/3 because of his crybaby woe-is-me out burst that seemed very inno in my eyes. Woulda kept on with him, but then serc revealed and I was pretty sure he was inno.

That was my logic. SO, D'riss was inno as of day 2. Korv, unless he was recruited night 1 was inno up until day 3 (also, why i was less suspicious of him being a lead yesterday), and Serc, unless he was a recruit that could still use his ability, is still inno.

Chill out dude. I was going to be lynched anyway. If you feel the need to do it now, thats fine. If you want to do it tomorrow after I am possibly recruited, thats cool too. Well, my list yesterday was pretty much where my thoughts lie. The way Barghy has been so gung ho for Ruse, and his support of that case is a little disturbing. But, Ruse is on my list. I am also very suspect of Okaros. He has played a very middling game. very under the radar. dare I say...smooth? He actually bumped up my list Today and I think I would like to go for him or Ruse today. Who knows though. I was really sold on an OE lynch so my confidence is a little low in that regard.


Also, I think its a good idea that I abstain from voting tomorrow, or talking too much. I don't want to influence town in the case I am recruited. I know I have a duty to help my team, but I can say right now, that I will pretty much abstain from any type of sway tomorrow. That should also give potential recruiters pause.

Finally, I was planning on using my ability on Serc again tonight. If you guys have a better idea let me know. But I think it will be good to have him reliable for one more day. ( If he didn't get recruited early >.<)
