If we were certain one is lying, then the idea of asking them to "vig" each other is win-win: the honest one survives.

However, if they are both honest, that is one big waste (although it could show us the scum, who won't be able to post for a few days while they try to catch their breaths from the laughing.)

I, for one, can say I'm not convinced one is lying.

problem: day actions aren't simultaneous. they can't vig each other. whomever's order PS reads first will live.

also, it's a venge of potentially 2 PIs.

Wait, no, if one is lying, then the honest one survives even if the actions are not simultaneous.

If they are both honest, then we lose only one, the one that didn't put his action first.

"If we are certain one is lying" - then non-simultaneous DAs is not a problem because the one that is lying won't do an action and will die from the other's vig.

That might be a way then.

Best case, we used our day vig to nail a scum. Worst case, we lose one inno but prove the reveal of the other.

Of course, I feel our discussions are a bit moot unless the two in question agree with our suggestions/requests

also, if there's only one PI left alive at the end of the day, net gain is small due to the possibility of NKs...

Well, the silver lining is that the NKs are then going to the now-powerless day vig and not a possible other town role. But that's not much of a relief.

At this point, I think I'm going to throw in my support of some sort of testing plan, be it JA's or another, just to get this beind us. Doesn't have to be done immediately, but ideally by day 3 we should be able to talk about something else and get back on the trail of the killers if this is just a giant distraction.

So what, we vig two random people just to test them?

Like I said before, that's not an exchange I find too positive.

If we don't trust Silencer (of the two, he's the one whose reveal bugs me the most), then we ask him maybe to prove it, but both??

this
also, wcs, we DO have 2 independant killers, and we may lose both of our PIed players in the night. with a lynch, wcs, we could lose 5 town in one cycle. that's too much for slim risk of gain.

HD, Silencer, does your vig send day to night?

It doesn't, as far as I know.

As for a vig-off, well, there is the issue then that we possibly lose our ensuing VPI tonight, thus making everything moot. Not an overall bad outcome, but not a good one, either. Bear in mind that if we were both vigs, whoever submits action first will kill the other...who will CF inno, therefore leaving the rest of the thread to assume either said person was being honest or was a symp, but with no way to distinguish seeing as the actions are not simultaneous.

Now, I'm fine with taking the vig-off, because if I die due to timing then it just proves HD is either a really, really OP'd symp or is like me and therefore town has a VPI. It just seems to me like we end up with the same outcome if one of us vigs someone else. If we can't, that person is lynched, yes? If we do, the other person either has to test their vig or is lynched. Isn't that the same outcome but with either less inno deaths or a higher chance of a lucky scum hit, thus less wasteful but just as informative? I dunno, I can see both arguments here.

This. I don't think any plan which doesn't involve having our claims tested today is seriously flawed and not very pro-town. XD

Ugh. My bad. Ignore the first "don't". Any plan that suggests we shouldn't test our claims is a bad idea, in my opinion. Is what I was trying to say. I think I may have added in the extra negative before I'd decided which way I was going with the rest of the sentence and forgot about it. >.<

Same feeling I have, but I'm feeling fairly okay bout Bent. As for Stalker and Venge... if their names were Silencer and Ment I'd not be surprised. Which puts me off. Big time.

woah, at this point I wish I was scum so that I could take that as a complement. Unfortunately, I'm not, so it seems my play style is only hindering our team and distracting us from finding the real scum.

given how infrequently I get to be scum (or have any role, for that matter), I'd really like to know where this misconception of me as a "good scum player" comes from,

There are people who think you're a good player?

We could just treat the vigs like lynches? If the vigs are up for it, we vote for whoever we would like vigged, and then they vig them. We've got a good bit of time to do this, and essentially get train info from it.
