Why does faking being a newbie make one vote worthy? We have others who are going for a newb appearance (like Anthras with asking how to bold) and one person who is announcing himself as a Vet (GL).

Nah, I think a person trying to blend in looks more like Thyr, lots of posting, voting once and promptly removing his vote, helpfully responding when ever he can (conversing about multiquoting, and the all-telling asking a lot of questions), or and throwing out suspicions left and right like candy without laying down a case or long standing vote.

I mean, who do you think we should vote for Thyr?

Since this seems to be a learning game for me and I'm trying to get over the fear factor of actually asking questions to learn how to navigate and better utilize the forum I would like to know how do you look up people's post counts? The reason that I ask is that I'm being accused of lurking when I believe that I have quite a few more posts than most of the other players in this game. I'm trying to enjoying the day 1 sillyness but Tia is such a buzz kill that now I have to go and defend myself from having fun.

So this is how It seems to me right now. I accuse Anthras of overreacting to my vote on Kara and called him a symp for said overreaction. Now Tia comes out of the woodwork and makes a "case" on me after my said comment regarding Anthras. Because Tia made a case on me however weak it is it looks like Tia is defending Anthras. Maybe I was wrong and Anthras might be a killer and Tia is the symp. Or maybe they are paired killers trying to look out for each other. I'll have to keep my eye on those three.

Fair enough, rather than see the reaction of Okaros and his defense you post his defense instead, this looks like symping and moving onto someone else. Thyr could be scum, so could merrid, yourself, anthras for that matter to me your all scum until proven otherwise. What makes you so sure Okaros isn't? I can see most of us wanting to blend in, post a lot and make it hard for scum to lie low it is early in day one, that sort of case or vote would be more important or more strong if we were a few days in.

The people you mentioned are playing a certain way but they ahven't slipped up whereas Okaros has, his posts have pinged my radar and hence my case and vote. You my friend haven't even made a case, nor have you posted any of Thyr's posts and it DOES look like you are trying to deflect from Okaros

Satire aside, It looks to me that Okaros called somebody a symp, after that person overreacted on his vote for somebody. He is curious why people are suspicious.
Okaros, they are suspicious because you voted some body, then called somebody a symp when they questioned your judgement. That is just sketchy to me. Of course there is always the possibility of a fake symp.

I don't know if Okaros is town or scum, and all I am saying is that hunting down people for pretending to be newbs seems silly. It's not like only the more seasoned of the newbies only get the scum role. I think with Thyr, it's one of the typical blending tactics to make a lot of one line posts and aim to be helpful as possible, which often lets them slide Silencer style through day 1.

I just read this after my response of Kara. Kara's post looks like symping of you which makes me feel more strongly about my thoughts about you. You seem to be two people in one alt. One minute you know nothing, the next you know alot. You have to go to the thread that list the games and sign ups etc, look for our thread, instead of clicking on it, click on the number of posts next to it, it'll say 150 replies or 151 or 152 close to that number, click the number and a list will appear.
