Haha maybe, maybe not. I agree about the song, and XITSJ are fairly accessible all in all, but Xiu Xiu ramps up the experimentation quite a bit so beware, good luck, and to each his own.

Bliss has been my band name, handle, tag and alter ego. When I went into LARP I used Bliss Fulnite. That and a leather corset got me a lot of free drinks.

i used to go by kud13, which is my general i-net handle from.....2003? I think (said handle was made up in the troubled teenage years and its original meaning is best left unmentioned). I changed it to "Mentalist" to reflect the fact that I was a psychology major, when Hetan started a "change your name-requests" thread. The name had nothing to do with the TV show, and was in fact homage to a character from a game "Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain"

I used to have to travel for four hours on a coach every second weekend to get to my mum's place. I had a regular bag I took with me that had one of the coach name tags on it. I also used the bag around other places a bit.
My first name is Luc, and over time someone added "ifer" onto the end, which I approve of, as that is essentially where the my actual name comes from. There was also a "To:" and "From:" section on there that I never filled in, and like with the adition to my name it eventually said "To: Hell", "From: Heaven".
I saw that, rather liked the concept of Lucifer's Heaven and used that when I eventually needed an online name.
Though this is one of the few places that will let me have the apostrophe, the space, or even the capitals ;)

I still think Kud13 is a much better description of you as a person. Changing name is wrong

I used to be Longhorn when I lived in Austin.

Then I saw Superbad and LOVED that movie, so I dropped Longhorn and changed to McLovin.

*reminds self to Netflix Superbad*
OK, I think I got it, but just in case, can you say the whole thing over again? I wasn't really listening.

I was an still to some degree am a big Monty Python fan. I wanted to use one of their characters, but not one of the obvious one. I really liked the Raymond luxury Yacht sketch, so grabbed that name. It's nice because it only gets recognized ever once in a while, and if it is it's usually a sign the person is a big monty python fan.

Oh, and it's only spelled Raymond Luxury Yacht.

I choose Tapper because at the time of my sign-up, I was more or less allowed to get behind the bar and get my own beer as soon as the owner of the joint my friends and I used to hang out four nights a week had consumed his 4th g&t. Still had to pay for it, so it wasn't ideal, but hey.
Since shortly before signing up I had also watched a documentary about the Nicholas Brothers, I started out with the Nicholas Brothers as my avatar and The Dancing Sapper as my profile title. Then Alina and my HHM title came along, and the rest is history. I don't think I ever changed name, either, except perhaps for a very short while during the Goku-Vegeta man-porn avatar period.

So my name is no reference to a guitar playing technique, nor to a popular arcade game, nor to the amount of ass tapped by me (as a certain someone in chat thought). I'm somewhat crude, but most definately not that crude.

A few years back I was involved in a Vampire the Requiem game with friends. I decided to play a Daeva (hence the Daeva rose and chalice as my avvy) which are the vampires that specialize in imitating life. Their clan nickname also happens to be the succubi/inccubi. Long story short, this character became a huge hit with my friends and they continued to call me Kitsu for years afterwards, "No Kitsu, you CAN'T seduce the gargoyle. I don't CARE how high your seduction pool is." The Incredible... Well, Kitsu is kind of a egotistical bastard, just thought it fit.

I had a Chocolate Lab named Charlie when I was growing up. He was pure-bred and his full moniker should we have ever put him in a dog show was RodeoRanch Chocolate Charles.

When I first started using the internet I had to come up with a commmon username and I looked at the big brown mutt lying next to me and RodeoRanch was born!

Indiana Jones: I like "Indiana."
Professor Henry Jones: We named the *dog* Indiana.
Marcus Brody: May we go home now, please?
Sallah: The dog?
[starts laughing]
Sallah: You are named after the dog? HA HA HA...!
Indiana Jones: I've got a lot of fond memories of that dog.
but are they worth preserving?

My name and avatar are inextricably linked. The avatar appeared somewhat earlier than the name- the account follows.
When my little brother was still at school, he had to bring in our family's coat of arms for some assignment, so I called the office for genealogy and gave them our name and place of origin. A couple of days later I was asked to go and pick up our coat of arms. To our surprise, it was not what our dad had told us it would be, the paw of a bear with some carpenter's tool on blue background; rather, it turned out to be the most hilarious picture any of us had ever seen- not quite the proper, formal coat of arms, instead it was the badly drawn orange Mister Savage there on the left side . The most outrageous coat of arms I have ever seen. And I don't really care whether it is the right one or not- it's just funny. But at that time he wasn't my avatar yet.
Now to how I got the name. A couple of years ago I travelled around the UK for a bit and visited York, where I came upon the Viking Museum. I took a stroll round the museum shop when I stopped in front of a small poster with English coats of arms and family names. It didn't take me long to spot our family's coat of arms on this display; the orange giant on yellow background, green hair and loin cloth are rather obvious. Instead of the tree thr English giant held a roughly hewn club though- how uncouth. The name to go with this picture was, of course, Savage (whatever authority a museum poster holds on family's coat of arms). I went home and told everyone about this curious coincidence, and it didn't take long neither before a friend of mine named me: "Miss Savage".
Since then, I've been Miss Savage whenever there has been need to disguise my identity. To be frank though, Savage is not too far from my real surname, so really, I am more myself than anything else.

Neat. :)
This coat of arms business sounds intriguing.
I would be proud to parade the Savage banner. :)

I picked Stormy because

1) He's a character I was positive wouldn't be fought over (unlike Rake), and
2) He and I share a similar attitude, and my best friend is totally a Gesler.
