And Twelve, I still hold to that original baby/Dad mix up picture. I am not sure about burn girl picture because I think that is someone who actually did have a terrible accident. She does look really strange, but I think I would rather have the photo shop

16 in the vets, almost as many in the newbs game..

Wasn't it less than 6 months ago we were struggling to get 16 players? Mafia is in some sort of resurgence. Great!!!

hehe, I stopped being a newb sometime back. I saw the glory days of Malaz mafia,as it was actually a wave of newbs in the early 'teen games that popularized mafias here (early games were played by the mods, a few elder regualrs, and their Westerosi friends. oh, and they happened about 2 or 3 a year.)

At around Mafia 12, a whole bunch of us joined up--we had games back to back after that, and from 12 to 19, the following people joined up:

Bent, Vengeance, Bubba, myself, q21, J_slr, Kurt, Yellow, Maccy, Ishael, Silencer, Gem (i think), Dunsparrow, Lokiman, Gavin, Khell (dkt, dibs, morgy, JA and Obdi were considered Elder even then. Along with GardenGnome, Dinivan and Menandore(who in those days was called Goddess Aurora))

it was also around that time that we started experimenting with different setups, breaking out of the M+P mold. Also, the old forum was upgraded to include "groups", which were very facebok-y, and that's where the idea of HHM (with cards and everything)came from.

truly, a golden age it was..... and now we're seeing it again, after a period of slowdown.

The evolution of the game has been awesome to see for as long as I've been about. The games were already pretty complex when I joined, but the setups and stories have just gotten better and more interesting (epic series like ROtK for example).

With these numbers, I feel I might have to alter my next games setup to include more players (since as it stands it works best with around 13, I could tweak it to hold 21 but it might really end up a clusterfuck...a fun clusterfuck though)
