That speech was everything it needed to be, and a whole hell of a lot better than what I expected.

I'm not waiting on the networks to call it anymore and I'll go back to being underwhelmed after a good night's sleep.

The President (2012) said:

Please proceed, Governor.

Chris Christie (2016) said:

There it is.

Elizabeth Warren (2020) said:

And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

That most recent Biden speech was a breath of fresh air. Calm, conciliatory, constructive, full of hope and faith in his country.

Let's hope at least some Republicans want to take part.

On to another subject. I just saw that Nancy Pelosi wants to run for another two years as speaker of the house.

Please, could America not continue to elect ancient mummy people for lead political positions?

Damn right. I'm into middle age now, and I want my days to be quiet and nicely predictable.

You know the governemnt is doing a good job, when you've got nothing to complain about and you barely notice they exist.

Out of rep, sorry. :(

I agree in principle that she should make way but I don't think we should underestimate the experience it takes for political manoeuvres. You would hope the Democrats have a mentoring system where more experienced people can bring people along and then step back but still assist. The fact she isn't means either she sees nobody skilled enough coming behind her or she is an egomaniac.

Probably a little from column A and a little from column B.

In other news, nice to see the orange turd is maintaining the same level of dignity he has displayed for the last ... all of his life.

'Two armed Virginia men who were arrested Thursday outside the Philadelphia Convention Center were "coming to deliver a truck full of fake ballots" [...]

Both men were carrying loaded handguns, and police found an AR-type rifle in the Hummer[...] About 160 rounds of ammunition [...]

Stickers and a hat with logos of the QAnon conspiracy movement were found in the vehicle'

I don't understand how the democrats keep being able to sneak Corona into the White House in an attempt to sabotage the Trump Adminstration. Are the secret service a part of the conspiracy hoax?

It's over. ABC, NBC, and CNN all called it. Fox has not called it.

So what happens if Trump just continues to refuse to concede? Surely there has to be a contingency?
