Do you suppose it would be fair to say that Warren endorsing either Sanders or Biden would guarantee that person the nom?

...Sanders maybe... i suspect Warren supporters would have difficulty with Biden even if she did endorse...

Some would, some wouldn't. Plenty of self-identified moderates liked Warren because it's not progressive policies they fear. Lots of anecdotal evidence (via Twitter journalists, who have a pretty wide net) that many of her supporters are flocking to Biden. But I'll be legitimately shocked if Warren endorses Biden over Bernie.

Unless Sanders takes enough delegates to outright win the convention, the DNC is most likely going to nominate Biden to make sure they lose in 2020. Biden is going to get his brokered convention on the back of southern states that will never come out for a democratic candidate, and that'll be that.

Do they want to lose? Do they want 4 more years of a vile fascist deconstructing the country they claim to love?

The political, and economical, elite are more afraid of Bernie than they are of Trump, who are letting their business do whatever the fuck they want. The corporate wing of the democratic party are pretty happy with Trump's economic policies, and when you're a lizard who only cares about making money, nothing else matter.

They also expect to win the nomination in 2024, assuming Trump hasn't named himself president for life, and they feel like things will just keep going as they have been for the past 40 years.

Of course they don't want to lose. They fear losing. Fear of losing always drives Democrats to the candidate they feel is the safest. They're just often wrong about who is the safest.

PS: Obdi pls with the conspiracy stuff. The DNC does not want to lose. They hate non-establishment candidates, but they aren't going to rig the convention with the intention to lose the general.

Yeah, I was surprised he didn't just do it last night. There's some speculation that he wanted to make a deal, and he has a bit more leverage than Klobuchar, but he has to know that it would be a mistake for Biden to pick him as a running mate. Buttigieg doesn't have anything worth that mistake.
Mayo Pete is nothing if not overconfident.
It was always strange to me how everybody treated his candidacy seriously as if being the mayor of some town in the midwest made him qualified to be president. I guess next to the current occupant of the White House, any experience in public office at all looks good?

I saw someone on reddit refer to Klobuchar as the "starscream of Karens" and I think that's the funniest and most accurate thing on the internet today.
That is definitely the most accurate description of Klobuchar I've ever heard.

Yep. Because the DNC is more afraid of socialism than fascism. Or, more charitably, they're still trying to chase swing voters that largely no longer exist.

They don't want to lose, but they definitely seem to have very outdated ideas of how to win. Also I think that part of the party does fear Sanders' potential economic policies, more than they fear four more years of Trump.

Laseen did nothing wrong.

I don't think the data supports that conclusion. The policies are popular. There's definitely a small sliver of those who identify as center-left who fear progressive policies, but I don't think they're anything close to being representative of the "establishment".

What are the profound perusing preposterous political pundits' opinion on Bernie's foreign policy chops? I mean, is he going to be all like - "here at the G20 summit, we should consider that the 20 poorest nations' GDP is 0.0000020% of the top 2 nations represented here!"

Any political system where personality trumps (see what I did there?) policy is a broken system. Voting to keep Bernie out, voting to keep Hillary out, it is insane. People should be voting for the policies that the party stands for. But it very much sounds to me that in the USA, the party policies are whatever the guy/girl who is fronting that party stands for. Madness.

But... BK... You get that Trump was a radical independent too, right?

The whole purpose of voting for an outlier is to send a message and shake the system. Sanders represents all the changes your country should have implemented the past 80 years like Europe. Better healthcare, worker's rights, protection from big business, general equality.

What's dangerous about Sanders if you're not a billionaire or a multi millionaire?

Trump supporters vote against their self interests. Unemployed, disabled and needing to fill monthly prescription medications. Trump is cutting programs these people need. Sanders will strengthen them.

He honestly just seems to want the stuff that I take for granted in my own country, free healthcare, less education debt, less racially divided populace, raising taxes on billionaires and corporations (AKA paying their fare share), abolish the death penalty, legalize weed everywhere, election security, for there to be a middle class again and not just billionaires hoarding wealth VS poor people.

It seems like such a normal set of things to those of us outside the US that we don't even see Sanders as that radical...up here in Canada, he would be a centrist/moderate, not even really a progressive leftist.

I have some hesitations about how Sanders would do on the international stage as president. But I guess Boris Johnson has pulled off the disheveled, somewhat chaotic demeanor in how he presents himself.

Also, on a serious note. I've had personal experience with 'Bernie bros'. It's a real phenomena and it's not hyperbole when I say a good majority of them are a-holes.

Trump asked the fed to cut rates and they just did. The fed though should be independent. There is no reason to necessarily believe they have in to pressure but I wonder if it nevertheless continues to send the wrong message. Trump will do anything to keep the stock market from crashing in his watch.

AG Barr said something similar although in his case there is every reason to doubt. However it’s hard to claim I was gonna do it anyway, when the pressure is so clearly evident.

Correct, the GOP and Corporate Entities (who generally donate to both sides) have shifted the Overton Window so far in the US since the New Deal, that people like BK, who aren't really plugged into politics more than voting every couple of years (if that) think that this logical continuation of the New Deal is 'RADICAL SOCIALISM'. I literally laughed out loud at 'comrade sanders' and 'wake up people'. Guess that conservative talk radio rides deep huh.
