I mean, there's no attempt to even be subtle in its attempts at mockery and or picking clearly their worst answers they got in a days shooting. I mean even the question were nonsense, not even leading.

It's sad that I know people who would be totally serious when they'd comment that Fox is just "showing it how it sometimes is". My parents might fit that category.

Also, I think my feeling towards this vid would be "exasperation" rather than "outrage". Must be a cultural thing- USSR was an ethnically diverse place with racial stereotyping for every group being a thing- and I did absorb that to a degree. So although intellectually I understand that this is way beyond the Western PC line, my reflexive reaction is one of exasperation at idiots who still find this amusing, rather than "how could they do this?".

But there's a cumulative effect on the exasperation too. Like, you ever try to explain something to someone and they are clearly, deliberately blowing you off as you speak? One of the most annoying things in the world. Anyone who's ever substitute taught knows this. But then you expand that feeling to every day for a couple centuries. That's pretty much what that video is poking at.

If that was broadcast by a news channel over here, hell even on channel fucking five news, they would be on their knees grovelling for months to make up for it. The rest of the media outlets would tear them apart for it alone, before offcom got overloaded with complaints.
I just don't get how American politics can be so sceeby and partisan and people not want to totally tear the system apart and start again

ETA - in reference to the watters report video not the daily shows rebuttal. It was a good answer, but I think a bit more subtlety would have made watters look like an even bigger fruitloop, but then people who like his stuff might not have caught the scathing disregard he really should be held in

This may seem gossipy at first, but I think it's right there in line with the Roger Ailes stuff, the Bill O'Reilly harassment scandal, and even the old school racism of that Watters World thing. What does it all have in common? Make America Great Again. The "Again" really is a return to when all of this wouldn't end in any consequences for the people doing & spewing it.

I really don't wanna tell anyone how to vote, I'm not saying vote for Hillary, or really anyone in particular. But if you have any women/girls in your life that you love -- spouses, kids, parents, family, friends, whatever -- you can't vote for this guy. He's a scumbag and, worse than that, he's a predator. And those are the people he preys on. (He's a predator of many stripes, of course, with many victims, but I think today it's worthwhile to focus on the women).
