He's running as a Democrat and is possibly the worst candidate to ever get airtime in a national debate, and that's including Sarah Palin and Donald Trump.
Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

Did Biden and Palin actually debate? If I watched that, I must have blocked it out of my mind. Biden vs Ryan was bad enough.

Yep, definitely blocked it out. I probably didn't actually watch it; it's not the kind of thing that would appeal to me in any circumstances. I don't like watching people embarrass themselves, even if they're detestable people.

Paul Ryan got the support of a supermajority of the terrorist Freedom Caucus. It wasn't enough for an official endorsement, but apparently it's enough for him.

Apologies for my ignorance, but what is a caucus?
Yesterday, upon the stair, I saw a man who wasn't there. He wasn't there again today. Oh, how I wish he'd go away.

Sub-groups, usually relating to a particular policy or theme.

In this instance, the Freedom Caucus is roughly 38 really, really right wing/"conservative" Republican representatives in the House of Representatives.

Terez is calling them terrorists because they're being nutbars and holding the Speaker position hostage to get some set of meaningful-to-them political concessions.

No, I call them terrorists because they are willing to shut down the government indefinitely and even crash the global economy in order to get their political concessions. It's not a joke or an analogy; they are literally terrorists.

Instead, she's (and the Dems in this committee) are making the GOP look like children.

Pretty much. It's really amazing to see how little these guys seem to get it. She's not going to be popular with conservatives, ever, but this is doing nothing but increasing her popularity w/ Dems. It's like they're creating the friction she needs for the traction she wants, and wouldn't necessarily have without them, because it is so clearly a witch hunt. She was as far from underdog as you could get, but more and more she's looking like a fighter, which is the next best thing.

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Triple post(some may have read my thread in Inn where I'm having issues editing)

Wow these CNBC hosts are true assholes from Ive heard so far in the few minutes I've seen. They seem to be gunning for Trump even more then Fox did. Also did I just hear it hat right that Jeb was defending Trump?

Waaaaah. Tough questions. Waaaaaaah.

You want to be president? You should be hammered with every question in the book, especially completely unprepared people like Trump, Carson, and Fiorina.

I don't want my president to be learning on the job basic political and policy shit.

That's a recipe for disaster. Do you remember the last politician to get elected with no experience in government?

I don't watch debates. Were the moderators out of bounds or is all of this because they didn't ask various softball versions of, "please explain why you'd be the greatest president in global history"?

Actually it'd be Eisenhower, but he just led the Allied forces in Europe in WW2 which was primarily a political position.

And Eisenhower lost the reins of the government in terms of foreign policy and the associated government organizations, setting up all kinds of terrible things in the next ten years and more.

What's more is that people praise him for that military-industrial complex speech without realizing that it's the words of a defeated man.

Man, if I was capable of feeling sympathy for this guy, I'd be really concerned for his mental health. He is not a happy man.
