Sarah Huckabee was on Chris Wallace's show the other day and he wasn't buying the lies (and came prepared to check her on them), but the tactic seemed to be talk over/through him with as much false and misleading info as she could push. And why not, when the thing disgruntling your base is this:
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

And if you want a quick rundown of the facts before tonight's Two Minutes Hate speech, here's a decent one from Sally Kohn. If you're outside the US, she's a fairly popular liberal commentator, so you would be fair in assuming she has a 'bias' against Trump's agenda, but this particular article is organized point by point with straightforward language and citations throughout. Plus, I mean, if you don't have a 'bias' against Trump's agenda by now, you're a collaborator and should be treated the way Patton treated the Germans at Buchenwald. Ż\_(ツ)_/Ż
Anyway, here are the facts, as supported by data: https://www.msn.com/...tion/ar-BBRXxUA

Rod Rosenstein is stepping down as deputy attorney general. That means Mueller lost his shield.
The talk is that Rosenstein is stepping down because the investigation is wrapping up and the Democrats can take it from here.
Next few weeks might get spicy.

He is going to step down after the new AG is confirmed if the new AG is confirmed.
How many fucking people do I have to hammer in order to get that across.

Trump cutting fund to California for Improper care of Forest land. Solid.
Next up, especially relevant for the global warming believers!!!
***Cut off funding to FEMA funding for building in Hurricane*/Flood zones, or not following the upmost and very highest level of building code.
This is a Human encroaching on environments and meddling in environments they shouldn't. Only 3% of the US is developed, develop in safer environments with properly built structures. However, lots of money on the table by some Real estate developers...
but isn't that the point of the government to stand up to that type of non-sense.
Sidebar: I get the otherside of this argument with Phoenix existing, building in the middle of desert! However 3rd best place to avoid natural disasters.

That is so wrongheaded. https://www.sacbee.c...e220273965.html
For one thing:
Quote
The federal government, through the Forest Service, controls more than 20 million acres of forest property, about one-fifth of the state's total land mass. The state owns a mere 730,000 acres, according to a report by the Little Hoover Commision.
"We don't own the forests in California, the federal government does," said LeRoy Westerling, a climatologist and forestry expert at UC Merced. Much of the rest of the forested land is in private hands.

For another:
Quote
Although a full accounting won't be available for months, a review of federal data shows that the U.S. government has spent about $1.4 billion the past two years dealing with wildfires in California.
That figure includes nearly $900 million disbursed by FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, to help state and local governments, and individual Californians, cope with the aftermath of fire disasters. It also includes $771 million spent by the U.S. Forest Service in the past two fiscal years on firefighting efforts in national forests in California — lands owned and operated by the federal government.

We know why Trump has a grudge against California: it's 1 part climate change denial for every 2 parts white supremacy. And yes the country is going to have to get smarter about the effects of rising oceans and extreme weather events, but that has less to do with "meddling" than it does the fact that ~80% of humans live within 65 miles of a coast.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I hate to follow a funny post with a serious one, but maybe it's funny in its own way: there are already ~700 miles of border wall/fencing, and it largely exists at those very places where people are most likely to enter. (Clinton, Bush, and Obama weren't exactly open border types). The other ~1200 miles is mostly much less passable terrain, which is part of what makes the trek so arduous. It's also worth noting that the wall Trump wants would cost 10s of billions of dollars, and the $5.7 billion he most recently asked for is arbitrary and even Republicans don't know what they'd do with it. "Two Democratic aides said Sunday that an afternoon meeting was delayed by 45 minutes because Republicans weren’t ready with documents to explain why that $5.7 billion amount was needed for the wall."
Of course, this is all because the wall actually doesn't matter, except as a symbol to the GOP base that Trump is still the same racist prick they voted for. And since they can't run on their legislative record or agenda (because it's poisonous), so symbols are what they run on instead, they're digging in.

Mid January 2019 and Dems are crawling out of the woodwork to declare their run for the 2020 presidency. Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but those that have declared thus far will not beat Trump. We still have the hope that Mueller's final report will see that fat Cheeto exit the office of the presidency before 2020 (doubt it)? Agree? yes? no? meh?
Whooooboy, 2020 election fatigue is going to set in about late summer this year (for me anyway).

This guy has swamp for brains.
It's crazy how like you don't have to choose which bad things about DJT to believe and which are exaggerations. Like is he a bad businessman OR a conman OR a criminal in league with the mafia OR a criminal compromised by Russian oligarchs OR a white nationalist OR a sexist OR a sexual predator OR a moron OR an elderly man whose mind is slipping? Like one or two sure, but all of them? Seems unlikely. Yet in defiance of all odds, and without any doubt whatsoever, he's all of the above. And also he's the president.
