Trouble arrives when the opponents to such a system institute its extreme opposite, where individualism becomes godlike and sacrosanct, and no greater service to any other ideal (including community) is possible. In such a system rapacious greed thrives behind the guise of freedom, and the worst aspects of human nature come to the fore....

What's this "panhandle" in Florida that Nate Silver keeps writing about?

Go Tammy!

(The only person I voted for who was ever likely to win.)

The President (2012) said:

Please proceed, Governor.

Chris Christie (2016) said:

There it is.

Elizabeth Warren (2020) said:

And no, I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about Mayor Bloomberg.

The area to the left. Less Hispanic, more conservative. Fits more with the Deep South mold than the rest of Florida.

Western Florida, which is full of hillbillies and thus Trump supporters. Less population, more rural. Southern Alabama basically.

Florida is a small line followed by a long peninsula. The small line which stretches across the Gulf of Mexico is the panhandle.

Looks like Florida is down to Broward County.

Trump is up by 100k but theres 1.8 million in Broward and they are the most heavily dem-voting county in the state.

West Coast hasn't come in yet. Those are 4 solidly Democrat states (CA, OR, WA, HI). Probably also CO, NV, NM. Possibly AZ.

How many have early voted already, though?

FL leaning Trump.

Not exaggerating, probably 1/5 commercials for the past few weeks has been telling me how corrupt Evan Bayh is.
I've always been crazy but its kept me from going insane.

CNN is saying Broward is 13% reporting.

Dunno how many voted either. They could still be voting the way the GOP is playing with voting locations.

I know. Believe me.

I didn't even get phone calls about Evan Bayh, but Shelly Yoder? 2 phone calls from random numbers about how she is evil (congress candidate).

I'll reiterate:

The really, really pissed off white people who were anti-Obama, anti-Clinton (SCANDALS!), anti-NAFTA are coming out in force.

Only solace I have is that there are more white college graduates than there used to be, but lots of them are pissed off Millenials.

I'm not a happy or optimistic camper right now.
