I hope Warren keeps at least 80% of her fire on Bloomberg. And while I would love to see Warren win, that's not the main reason I want her to do it. I hope she goes hard on Flint.

I have some friends and acquaintances on Facebook who are pretty recent ex-Republicans, and they're terrified that all this fighting is going to hand the election to Trump, and some of them actually like Bloomberg and hope he recovers from the hit he took last time. I suspect he'll focus his fire on Bernie and try to lump Warren in with Bernie (which, honestly, is where she belongs when it comes to his particular concerns) as often as he can. Bernie is only more dangerous to him because of his standing in the polls.

I didn't watch much of the last debate. Just the Warren clips on Twitter. I don't really need to hear from the other candidates unless one of them says something out of line; I will hear about it on Twitter if they do. I have been following these people for years, the ones that matter anyway. I know who they are. I don't have to engage much to know how much they have changed, or how much they have stayed the same. I know who my first choice is, and my second choice, and I'd love it if they were the last two standing. If that happens, I will probably watch the debates.

I haven't watched that much of the debates. I have to decide between Sanders and Warren in the next few days as my state's primary is next week. Those are kinda the only candidates I'm considering. Bloomberg I see as basically blue Trump, an old racist billionaire but slightly more polite and less fashy. Mayo Pete I don't think is really qualified and I've liked him less and less as I've seen more of him. Klobuchar has a pretty bad environmental record, which is a disqualifier for me. Even Sanders is considerably to the right of me, though.

Bloomberg is doing well in the polls and could easily suck up much of the Biden vote if the wind blows the right way. But whether or not he is relevant as a candidate, he is a natural springboard for a whole lot of important things that need to be talked about.

Nobody likes a know it all. Better to vote for the star quarterback who skated through highschool and college. Now that's leadership material! Bonus points if the candidate is white, male and tall.

I like Warren. She's Bernie with a brain and without the extremism (relatively speaking) that turns off so many Americans.

Ann Coulter is terrified of "socialist" left-wing policies, though, so naturally she would be terrified of a Warren presidency. But Bernie is leading in the polls, so she's trying to reassure herself that it's not all bad; Bernie will have trouble getting anything passed because 1) he's more of a demagogue than a leader; 2) he's far from a policy wonk; and 3) everything he does is viewed through the crazy-old-extremist-dude lens.

Sanders is further left than Warren in many respects. I'd easily take either of them over anyone else running though. Mayo Pete is a republican who is also gay, so he has to pretend to be a democrat. All of his plans and ideas are the same as the GOP from before Trump. Bloomberg is literally the pokemon blue version of trumps' pokemon red. He's only running to try to prevent Bernie or Warren from getting the nomination. Remember that Bloomberg donates to and helps GOP senators get elected. Biden is, and that's the nicest thing I can say about him. Klobuchar is the same milquetoast corporate dem candidate that always try and fail to get elected.

It's interesting seeing organizations that represent people of color choosing to go with Warren or Sanders, and the way they phrase their statements is generally around the fact that they feel they can actually push these two to address their concerns, unlike everyone else.

Honestly it isn't new or crazy for the US, according to our own history. However those with Money have been shifting the Overton Window to the right over the following decades.

The funniest thing is, under the New Deal the US was at its strongest as a society and economically. It ushered in the greatest growth in our history. But then the capitalists came.
