Bruthen Trana, despite appearing in only one other book, quickly became one of my favourite characters. An Edur who continued to behave like the Edur of old, who didn't take any crap from anyone (who else cheered when he started strangling the Chancellor in RG?). His story seemed to come to an end in RG, albeit somewhat tragically.
So I was ecstatic when he showed up in tCG, and I thought his scenes were quite powerful and affecting...but did anyone else get the feeling that Brys' meetings with him in his dreams were going to lead to Brys somehow saving Bruthen from his fate? I have to say I was somewhat disappointed that this didn't seem to lead to anything in the end.
Overall, though, I enjoyed tCG - although I still don't get why the Bonehunters had to cross the Glass Desert as a shortcut, when they clearly got to Kolanse after everyone else :/

The Bruthen stuff is kinda heartbreaking, but I love it that way. As far as the Glass Desert goes, it wasn't really meant to be a shortcut after all. There's some good threads on that issue, I think.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

^this
Brys looking to Bruthen Trana's spirit as a guide and its turning out Bruthen himself was looking for a way out was tragic. I thought he might reside in the Azath house but ofc he may have wandered out when Knuckles and Kily left

I thought he may come back to life to play a part somewhere along the line but I was happy with his story and didn't think of him as a major character.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.
