Dishonored - I really hope it's as awesome as it sounds...
Diablo 3 - Still refusing to buy as it's online only ;)
Mass Effect 3 - What Illy said is a little worrying, but I still expect it will be a very good game at the worst (provided you don't focus on any mistakes too much)
Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm - Gothos, why are you boycotting it? They're releasing it priced as an expansion, which is the only real concern I had)
Guild Wars 2 - Really looking forward to this and will absolutely be getting it. MMO it may be, but it has no subscription, no microtransactions and looks like a great game :p
Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning - What I've seen looks promising, but like most people, it's the names behind it that make it most note worthy
Borderlands 2 - Hell yeah
Quantum Conundrum - A cool new puzzle game, with some of the grey matter from portal behind it? Yes please!
The Secret World - Really looks good, but something has to be awesome for me to play on a subscription, so we'll see.
Max Payne 3 - I really enjoyed the first to, but haven't seen much on this...
Torchlight 2 - May well do as a D3 substitute
Prey 2 - I really like the look of this game, looks like a lot of fun. And I like the idea that it'll continue the story of that universe while being very different from the original.
Bioshock Infinite - Looks pretty great.
Risen 2: Dark Waters - I really enjoyed the first one. I love skill based combat, and so few do it well combined with an RPG system.
Metro: Last Light - Dunno much about it but the first was good.
Command and Conquer: Generals 2 - Looks interesting, curious to see a BioWare RTS.
Tribes Ascend - It's a fair bit of fun so far (I'm in the beta :)) though the vehicles need work, they drive shit and are kinda useless. Also, if you don't want to play, it takes a loooong time to unlock a class.
Thi4f - I am so hopeful...
Hitman: Absolution - I've enjoyed some of the previous games, and while it's no Tenchu, I've missed stealth games.
Syndicate - I'm looking forward to this. I know a lot of people aren't keen on it being an FPS, but I think if it's done right, it could be extremely awesome.
Tomb Raider - Looks good so far...
Mechwarrior Online - Looks very cool
CS: GO - Man it's been ages since I played CS...
Amy - Should fuck with your conscience nicely.
Natural Selection 2 - This will hopefully be good. Have a friend in the Alpha I think...
Salem - Haven't seen anything on this in a good while, but it sounded interesting
DOTA 2 - Well I guess I can't refer to this as "another DOTA clone" :)
Prototype 2 - First one was a lot of fun, even if the characters were shit
The Darkness 2 - Need to finish the first one, but I'm glad this one's coming to PC
Darksiders 2 - The first one was an unpolished cross between Zelda and God of War. If they've improved this could be very good
Gotham City Imposters - Ridiculous but potentially fun
World of Darkness - Wasn't this put on the back burner by CCP?


And a few I hadn't heard of but caught my eye.

Super Monday Night Combat - Oh hey. Monday Night Combat is fun, though it feels somewhat unsupported (could do with more maps/game types)
Shadow Run - They're doing another one? The last one was pretty poor, but I've heard the pen and paper game is good. Or is this something else? I failed to find anything in my quick lazy search.
World of Warplanes - Hahaha, what the fuck? Actually, could be cool :D
Overgrowth - This looks like it could be a lot of fun :p
X: Rebirth - Ooh... I really hope there's a co-op option...
Miegakure - Intriguing...
Carmageddon: Reincarnation - And just in time to go up against another Twisted Metal game :p
Lucius - Oh hey, a game where you get to play as Damien.
Stacking - I would possibly have dismissed this were it not Double Fine...
Dragon Commander - Looks pretty cool

I will almost definitely get Heart of the Swarm (and like the first, play just the single player on normal and never touch the online mode ^_^ )

I don't have much interest in any of the others. Maybe Thi4f, if my computer can run it and there are good things said about it.

I play the occasional match of SC2 online. But only ever with friends and usually allied against computer enemies.
I was really looking forward to all the awesome mod maps they'd make for it, as the level creator is even more ridiculous than the WC3 one. But then they made that stupid decision where all maps have to be kept on their servers, so they limited map size and effectivel shot down much of the communities creativity then and there.

Hmmm... this has reminded me of the fact that they never did patch in lan play like everyone was saying they would. Perhaps I will boycott it then...

@Luci - I hope you're wrong about CCP putting the WoD MMO on the back burner! That's one MMO I'd actually play, for a fee, even! O.o
And yeah, Mechwarrior Online, depending on outcome.


It's a shame I play so many games on my Xbox these days, otherwise a lot of the titles here would also be on my PC list. XD

CCP underwent a huge internal structure reshape and refocus. They decided they'd spread themselves too thin, between EVE, Dust 514 and WoD.
So they shifted about and put more focus into regaining some of the good will they'd lost amongst their EVE community, and more focus into Dust 514. So the WoD project was redueced. Not cancelled, not put on hold, just not their main focus, and with some people being pulled away from it.

Much as I want to see the WoD game come to fruition, I do think this is a good thing. If EVE started to die, then they wouldn't be able to complete either of their other projects, it's their main income. And Dust is a surer bet (and I think considerably more complete, plus very tied in with their EVE plans), so getting that done and out is a good idea.
They've pledged that there is still a team (albeit a smaller one) working on WoD (this is what I meant by "on the backburner", though that's possibly not the best way to put it). But they expect it to come out a bit later and they'll be cutting some of the things they were hoping to do with it on launch (though they're considering adding them back in later).

So in summary, less good for WoD, but better all around.

They just announced a new X-Com game that is a remake of the old turn based tactical shooter.

AWESOME... So excited.

Well, I believe the X-com game has been known about for over a year. There's gameplay trailers and all kinds of stuff from EA I think. I never played the originals so I don't really have an opinion but there's a lot of upset fanboys complaining that they've made it into a FPS game instead of a RTS.

I'm boycotting Heart of the Swarm for a two reasons:
1. Wings of Liberty was, all in all, a disappointment for me in single player. Not liking the direction it is heading.
2. The absolute fuckup that they're turning WoW into lately - the minimalistic, low-resource approach to the latest raid, and of course the incoming mists of pokemon 'expansion' with panda-men monks. Screw that, since I already have Diablo III, Blizzard-Activision gets no more money from me. I could do better than invest in a non-combat pet battle system for an MMO.

In any case, speaking of Diablo III, I might just drop WoW entirely as some guildies are actually going to play D3, and play it instead and get some handy extra cash through that real money auction house. Swap a money-sucking hobby for one that pays back!

you mean, since there's a console port, you expect there's a chance they might add in a way to play without always being online?
I'd argue the opposite is far more likely.

in all fairness, a few weeks back i've seen an article saying that South Korea ordered Blizz to remove the online marketplace from the Korean release, because it doesn't comply with Korean gambling laws.

they are probably going over it, thinking where else they'd run into such issues.

You know, if they have commited to a console release as well, that's probably WHY they pushed it back, so fuck the console release.
