TEA PARTY! None of that coffee rubbish here, thank you very much.
Vote Anomandaris
Anti-government political party = anti-Shogunate. Death to Galain!
vote Galain
I cannot understand this vote for the life of me...anti-government? What? Coming so quickly after Galain's vote makes it suspicious too. And then there's Spite -

Checking in. My sword for the Ahikaga! It might be boasting, but that one sword will contribute more to Japan's population than the entirety of those two half -arsed untrained formations of ashigaru spearmen at my back.
Check in caught up and
vote rashan
for bragging that he is a killer and outing that he has 2 symps.

Finally
vote rashan
so I can mock the people who will now accuse me of being his symp because I triple voted for him.
Now, I actually agree with Spite's first post there...anyone who self-describes as a killer is always a suspect, but the triple-vote makes things even weirder. Spite straight up calls Rashan a killer, calls himself Rashan's symp, triple-votes Rashan, and then quickly switches his vote off Rashan. I realize this is all pretty obvious but Spite's play does seem symp-like; the "voting-as-signalling" argument gets weaker every game but at some point scum are going to take advantage of that and actually use it.
For now,
Vote Rashan
Everyone who failed to understand what I meant has
a. never played Shogun (2): Total War
b. watched Kurosawa movies
c. read the OP
d. checked wiki on shogunate and/or Japanese society
e. no knowledge of the tea party.
a. Means not much, actually, apart from missing a classic game (so you're probably under 30).
b. means you have no taste or cultural refinement.
c. is a serious and potentially lethal disease that a lot of mafia players suffer from, nowadays. The tricky bit is that it often leads to a few lynched townies by people who then shamelessly confess "didn't read OP, only contains stories, amirite? lolz." It invariably fucks town's chances right up the ass and reduces them from 50-50 to 40-60 due to the uncaring lynching of people by people who only start to play once worst case scenario shows that D-day is a number of days away that's equal to the number of nipples they possess.
d. is a decent prep that takes 5 minutes to understand themes and terms, but is optional.
e. you're unaware of current events and probably live in a cave.
So, yeah, Galain, you suck.
Now we get to a serious part. Not only do you suck, you also see Spite as a symp (in which case you vote the master). Now, if I were his master, would his symping be really so blatant? Lynch me, if I am named Hojo or come up Hojo, you also have bagged yourself a symp. Which is bad symp play and nothing else. So, simple and obvious conclusion that you once again miss: no matter what my alignment or Spites alignment might be, it is fairly easy to see that a master-symp relation between Spite and me would be impossible.

I totally missed that interaction between Rashan, Galain and Ano. Factor in what Mockra pointed out, with Rashan's comment about being a killer with two spearmen behind him and It's sounding more and more like Rashan is a symp to one killer possibly Ano.
remove vote
Ah, let's go for a double face palm here. An ashigaru is a peasant spearman. They're usually commanded by their feudal lord. Which translates into a minor daimyo, because anyone of bigger stature is probably having a samurai retinue. I was merely reflecting on the PUBLISHED RI ROLE.
But apparently, I went a gear or two too fast for everyone else.

Mockra, the Tea Party vote was a joke vote or an accusation of signaling based on the Tea Party in America that is anti-government currently. Rashan was saying that Galain is being anti-government (ie the good guys).

Right, the Galain vote from Rashan does look like deflecting. Voting master over symp is definitely the best approach but I can't decide whether Rashan is symping Ano or you're symping Rashan. Spite if you are inno then why the hell would you triple-vote someone on day 1? I can't see how it does anything except cause confusion for town.
For now I'll leave my vote where it is. Rashan has some 'splaining to do.
Deflecting from what? Someone feeling the need to deflect from a day 1 single vote would be... not smart?
I like Rashan as a target, I suppose, but a deflection there seems unneeded.
vote rashan
Does this answer your question?
Edit : Highlighted referenced post
Oh god, poor little attention whore and her stuck record are at it again. Listen, deflection would be idiotic and completely contraproductive to the situation. In fact, if you wish to deflect a joke vote, you add your vote to that guy and people will go
wtf, 2 votes for 1 guy and I don't see why??? Must remove!
I was making a joke (plus joke vote) that went over the heads of all of you. Not my fault you don't share my sense of humor or my taste in movies/games/history (or my looks, intelligence, modesty and ability to make others look bad). That's all, as well as pointing out a potential symping clue.
Why the fuck would I wish to deflect a day 1 joke vote, even if I was a symp and even if Ano was my master? It's a frikking joke vote, just like Spite's 19845871569 votes for me so far (well, apart from the last one, perhaps).
Oh, as for the avatar switching, this alt possessed the old Emurlahn avatar, so I sought for the kanji that translate as
Shadow in Japanese. This is it. I guess that makes me a ninja, now?
