Had a couple of PvP encounters earlier, both with players who were several levels higher than me. I nearly had one of them, but I died to both in the end. :D

Also, one annoying thing about PvP warzones is that there's no level separation. I was in a match today (at level 28) and I also saw (and killed) a level 15 character and (was killed several times by) a level 50 character. That doesn't quite seem fair to me. Hopefully they'll change that at some point.

So what's the preferred faction to play nowadays? I'm trying to figure out which build to go for when I purchase the game. If a guild does get going at some point, I'm willing to fill a role like healer or tank if we're short.

Gothos and I (and hopefully Apt) are on Niman, so I'm trying to direct people there. We're playing Empire characters, so it's most likely to be an Empire guild, which I'd like to start as soon as we have enough (four) people to do so.

I'm playing a dps role, and Gothos tanks, so a healer would be good, though I'm content with a very relaxed, social guild (or more to the point, I never intended to make a hardcore raiding guild—i dunno what you guys think though?) so I'm not overly bothered about the role you fulfil. If someone (Gothos? I think you have quite a history of mmo raiding...?) wants to be in charge of a raiding sub-section of the guild, that would be cool.

I've no problem rolling a healer. I like the idea of a lax approach, seeing as I usually lose ambition when playing MMOs for any length of time.

I liked it so much I'm getting a bitchin' fast new PC to play it on in the new year. :D

So here's a random question. Is Origin the only place where you can buy the digital copy?

Certainly you'd much rather want to play on The Red Eclipse server along with your good friend, primateus!

Search your feelings.....and all that.

I'll go for the server with most Malazites on.

According to what I understand there are damage dampeners/modifiers in place during arena PVP that makes the fights fair between the low and high level players. How ever I guess they will still have more and better skills unlocked during combat than the low levels.

I don't plan on getting serious with this game. Depending upon how hard it is to level and how much fun I am having I intend to level up various characters on both sides.

Raiding never really meant anything to me in WOW but who knows.

You might be able to locate it on Biowares own site but I suspect that they'd just link you to Origin. EA has been really pushing their own store, to the point where new games are not showing up on Steam. I doubt they would pass up the opportunity to sign up a couple million new customers.

I can't activate my account because EA has yet to send me my product code. No account = no play. This makes me very sad!
Screw you all, and have a nice day!

Sure you gave them the right address? Otherwise contact their customer service. Despite what people say, EA support are generally quite helpful (if inept) and something like a game activation is within their powers.

My copy should be arriving in the mail tomorrow around midday. How long an installation time am I looking at here? Does it come with a GIGANTIC patch like WOW does?

Seeing as how I sent the ticket, per their instructions, from the email adress in question, I am ABSOLUTELY sure!

Contact them. It's not like EA Denmark are that busy. I mean, it's not like it's Christmas and 7000 parents are calling in every hour because their 12 year olds murder simulator isn't working properly.
