The capital M-Man.
I sometimes role play good guys because I am a great believer in the profits of good deeds and cooperation. But games rarely punish you for evil choices, so most times I just go with my natural inclinations towards violence.

Man, I'm feeling nostalgic for GTA. I remember cruising around listening to Lazlow on the radio looking for a hooker to pick up or gang members of start beef with or just run of the mill pedestrians to run over. Man I loved getting my wanted level up to where the military was called in pursuit.
FF to the 40:20 mark for one of Lazlow's best segments.
I can't wait for GTA V!

I was probably the only person ever who didn't beat the shit out of the hookers and robbing them after being serviced by them.
Not at all. With all due respect for Jackovasaurus I think that it is mostly juveniles that act like monsters in GTA games. I tend to unintentionally, when given the choice, to roleplay a good guy in a bad situation. When I play these kinds of open world sandboxes I mostly behave myself. I try to avoid pedestrians when driving, I avoid the cops because they are the good guys and I don't think I have ever even used the hookers in a GTA game more than once to see if there was an achievement.
That was part of why I disliked GTA4 so much. There was just so much unavoidable violence. When I play GTA5 I will surely be going for finesse during my heists rather than the "loud and dumb" option. Part of why I liked Sleeping Dogs so much was because it actually penalised you for hurting civilians and doing unnecesarry property damage.
I was not nearly so gentlemanly. I only avoided the police because they tended to make doing anything way harder. I still ran over pedestrians deliberately and sometimes shot up entire restaurants for no reason. However, with the latter, I never did so immediately after dining at said restaurant. That just seemed like bad form.
Laseen did nothing wrong.

More GTA nostalgia coming your way. The radio advertisements/commercials. It's amazing they got away with some of these. Anyway, you will laugh, and laugh hard at some of these. The "About" section has a list with timestamps, enjoy.

Man, I can't believe the AAA release season is upon us. I can't wait to get my hands on this. Has anyone seen any early reviews yet?

No reviews I have heard off. There have been leaked copies out for weeks now but I think any mainstream site is staying away from publishing reviews until Rockstar gives the go a head. I bet reviews wont begin to emerge before Monday.
GTA V is the first console game I have bought on release in years. Can't wait.

The multiplayer "GTA Online" sounds awesome, and will probably be the deciding factor in me picking the game up soon after release. I haven't ever really owned a GTA game, usually renting or borrowing from friends, mainly because they always become directionless after a run of repetitive missions. Fun, but Saints Row does that aspect better. GTA V I expect to be a step up story-wise/world-wise from GTA IV, plus the interesting sounding multiplayer, so I can play more methodically and consistently (i.e. with only a few rampages every now and then rather than them becoming the default go-to option upon starting the game). Hopefully, in other words, more like Mafia crossed with Skyrim, than Saints Row's more realistic older cousin. XD

Anybody else bought this yet?
I've been playing it all evening. There's nothing revolutionary about the gameplay but everything is just so damn smooth and polished. Nobody tells a story quite like Rockstar does it. I am also impressed by the graphics, the console is old but it's amazing what they've done with the technology.

Got it delivered today. I'm still just gawping at how damn huge the map is.
And loving the 'Red Dead' feel to the place.
My driving is terrible though.

So that's the story. And what was the real lesson? Don't leave things in the fridge.

Oh yeah, I was parking my car before going in to a store one time. There was this fat woman shouting at me on the side walk, being quite rude, so on my way to the door I just smack her one right on the side of the head and she went down like a sack of potatoes. The impact of that punch looked fantastic. I walked over her, did my business in the store and when I came out she was still lying there. People were just walking by her. Nobody seemed to give a shit. Kind of felt bad for her so I ran her over on my way out.

I just got thrown out of a strip joint for having busy hands.
Then, while trying to shake the police while driving a bike,I headed through a park. Got into a nice quiet area up some steps; then realised I was surrounded by people on benches who all started shouting at me.
I love the little details - the animations are great. Like the way Franklin bounces up in his seat when you break hard. And he punched a guy so hard in the face his hat flew off.
I really want to go home to play some more.

Played it quite a bit yesterday. Really enjoying it. All of the mechanics feel a hell of a lot smoother than the last game, which is great. My favorite thing is probably the cars. I no longer fly out my windshield every time I bump into a rock or a wooden pole.
Trevor is hilarious.

Just got into the game so have barely scratched the surface. Holy shit there is a lot of distractions you can partake in outside the story missions. I took my dog - Chop - for a walk. He started getting unruly and pissed on a bus bench. A message popped up that says I can download an app for the iFruit that is for training dogs. I went to one of the movie theaters and watched a foreign movie, got bored, so left. I also did the mission where you repo the vehicle owned by one of the protagonists - Michael De Santa. Won't spoil anything, but hang around to hear all of the dialog during the mission.

Lot of noise is made over this game, but to me it seems essentially to be the same as the previous ones. Any point looking into if you couldn't get a third of the way through III and IV because of boredom?
