Been playing the Heists update that came out this week. If you can find other players online with a mic who are willing to cooperate it's a hell of a lot of fun. And you get a shit load of money when successful. Supposedly if you can do all of the heists with the same crew without dying you get 10 million dollars. ZINGA!

Anyways, give it go for some kick ass fun. The Heist DLC is free - all of the GTA V DLC is free, which is nice. The Heist DLC is sizable though @ 1.7GB.

Jakov, what system you playing on?

Me and the wife have had some great fun with the Heists, however trying to get a game is nigh on impossible. Spending in excess of half an hour just trying to get enough players.

Hopefully my sis and bro in law get back online soon as thats a guaranteed team lol

I'm on Xbox 360.

There were issues with Heists that they have since fixed. When I tried to get into someone's Heist last Wednesday I was often getting kicked out of the job. Now that seems to have been fixed. Also, I went through the steps so I can set up my own Heists. You have to have a high end apartment.

With all that said, Heists can be hit or miss depending on who has joined. The first Heist is easy to be successful with because it only requires two people. Heists pretty much require that everyone has a mic and are willing to take on the role the leader gives them. When four people are required, it just makes it all the more difficult to get everyone on the same page. If everyone is in sync though (has a mic and respectful and willing to cooperate), it is a hell of a lot of fun.

How many Heists have you managed so far?

I have just finished the 3rd on (second 4 player one) and it was a blast. I play with my wife and tryig to find people can be difficult, but thankfully one of my mates got the game again (hi profile got corrupted and had to create a new XBL account) so only havign to find a 4th player now lol. I think my sister in law is getting it at teh end of the month so i can get a reliable 4 man team.

I would say though that they Heists are a real blast when you get a good group that you can communicate with, and some of teh new vehicles are awesome, namely teh Insurgent.

I've done first heist - Flecca Job - two times. I joined the heist where you steal the fighter jets but dropped off after success with that stage of the heist because only one person of the 4 man team had a mic - he was not the heist leader either.

I haven't been able to try again but hope to have some time this weekend.

Jako, i just finished the finale for that heist, it was good fun. I'd definately reccomend players with a mic for the last set up part where you have to deliver the EMP.

You are breaking into the Humane labs and have to 'neutralise' a load of mercenaries and scientists which doesnt sound hard, but it is as you have to do it silenced and at times drop 4 people at the exact same time.

If you get a good group though you are laughing.

My sis in law is getting back online att he weekend so i will hopefully have a full team of 4 (all peolpe i know that have mics YAY) so im planning on running all of them again from teh start so i can get the loyalty bonus by doing them all with the same team.

Another bonus with the heists is the vehicles and aircraft become available for purchase once you complete them. I'm going to purchase the armored car from the first heist and then cruise around messing with other players. That car has the speed, armor and slanted windows so other players will have a very difficult time trying to take you out.... mwuhahahahaha!Posted Image

Thats my plan too. Thankfully the windows are armoured so i cant be shot through them, BUT i can't throw nades or stickies out and your FOV for firing is limited and albeit your armoured you can still be blown up fairly easily. (still will be my goto 4 door when i buy)

My wife has just saved over $1mil so im trying to convince her to buy the Insurgent as that can take 7 stickies before its blown sky high. Negative side to it is that it costs quite a bit and you can be shot through the windows.

I managed to get a great 4th player for my 4th heist last night who stayed for all 5 set-ups and the finale. Im now waiting on my call from Lester for the final Heist, then ill start them all again when my sis in law gets back on so we can do them all on hard, without quick restarts and getting the 10 mil loyalty bonus at the end.

Wow. I wish my father would start playing games. I know he'd enjoy it, but he thinks it's unseemly for a man his age.Posted Image

Can we play 5 online or do we have to buy GTA Online?

GTA Online is free with GTA 5, it is the online multiplayer part of 5, you don't have to buy anything extra.
