Motivations for the Wolves...they obviously are semi-cult status at least, so probably have a leader (one name bandied about fairly often by comic readers stands out). Possibly a death cult of some kind, given the words the guy who almost killed the priest was spouting before Carol shot him. So I think their point is ransacking, but in a pointed everyone-must-die kind of way. That there are a few who aren't quite maniacs (guy-with-gun-now, Enid) isn't implausible since a cult leader always needs a few around to get things done.

Anyway, this episode was pretty sweet. Carol was MVP as usual. LVP coulda been Morgan, but he did some sweet Donatello moves along the way. Probably goes to Deanna's second (ie least) favorite son, Not Aiden, instead. Even Cowardly Doctor killed someone, even if it was on accident and she was mostly dead already.

Carl shot in the eye? Would be hard on Morgan, His friend Rick's son, about the same age his son was, etc... I doubt they'd actually do the eye thing in the tv show though. Especially atm when they're down on doctors.

That's twice Morgan's let that particular wolf live. I'm guessing after whatever he comes back and does with the gun will be his 3rd strike and Morgan will finally decide some people have to die...


I know it's just a show and you know, safety first and all that, but it kind of annoyed me some scenes when Morgan was running around and his staff is wobbling around because it's actually made of safety rubber or whatever. Bleh, stuff like that seems small, but I guess I tend to focus on it and it takes me out of the immersion.

Carol was totally running around channeling Kakashi this episode. I used to hate her character, now she's up there with my favorites since Sanctuary. Some great character development in this show, other characters I used to hate (Carl) I also like now.

So I always had a suspicion that Enid was a Wolf but I see people talking that this has been verified. I just don't see it. I thought it was the dropped backpack of info that gives the town away. What am I missing that proves this theory?

She literally says "That's how we [got in]" during this episode re: The Wolves. Plus the dropped backpack of info is, well, a backpack full of info. Someone inside the compound took photos of the town and gave them to the Wolves, which is what Aaron is realizing when he sees those layout photos.

I'm under the impression that the backpack was dropped by Aaron and Daryl when they got caught in the Wolves' trap at the food warehouse before Morgan saved them. They were recruiting and Aaron uses the pics (that he took himself) to show potential new residents 'cause he likes to get punched in the face.

That doesn't mean Enid's not a Wolf operative, though. They've dropped enough hints now that I'm certainly leaning towards buying it.

Ya it was his backpack w/ recruitment pix. Remember he showed Rick & the group the picks when he engaged their group and was tied to the chair. I don't remember her saying anything claiming to be a wolf.

This is what I was thinking as well. I'd have to rewatch the episodes where Aaron was showing the recruitment picks to Rick's group to remember if there were any pictures of the walls in the recruitment files to be sure. Also did you ever see Enid with a camera or have a way to develop pictures even if she had the camera hidden to put them into the backpack? The writers definitely haven't painted Enid as a Wolf but they definitely haven't painted her as not either. Even though the motto JSS would imply she would align with the Wolves if it allowed her to survive I just don't get the vibe that this is what she was doing.

I agree with the "That's how we..." line. Also, she had all the keys. I don't believe she snuck in and grabbed them when the wolves attacked. I think she got them in conjunction with the attack." Add in that she is a better woodsman than Carl, keeps disappearing, something funky was going on in her flashback when she found the community - like she was reluctant to go in, and this is her comic book!

I wasn't necessarily thinking that Enid took the photos and developed them herself, but it was a blank spot in my theory for sure. All that said, everything else still points to Enid including her explicit confession to Carl.

I took that as her and Carl when she said we and though I don't remember this next point I've read that Carl cut her off so she couldn't finish what she was going to say and not that she left it hanging unsaid. I stand by that this is a valid theory but I tend to not be behind it until we know more information. There are just too many holes in it to say for sure one way or the other.

The guy fell on top of him...and we know that if you cover yourself in guts you can be left alone...my wife thinks that the other dude is getting eaten and that Glenn will be fine...and Steven Yeun wasn't on the Talking Dead afterwards (which is normal for a cast member who gets iced in TWD).

How exactly is it a cop-out? Surviving the attack would be an interesting turn for a show that has no compunction about killing off characters. What other narrative reason is there for the other dude to fall DIRECTLY on top of him? Aside from that USUALLY deaths of main characters are "clearly" deaths. Like no room for error on the part of the audience, you SEE them getting bitten clearly...no way someone like Steven Yeun gets such an weird ambiguous death scene when he's part of the original group...and then they always appear on THE TALKING DEAD after...and Yeun didn't. But yeah, how exactly would it be a copout to have him survive? What, just the fakeout death? I don't see anything wrong with that considering they've rarely done it (if ever).
