...in Ottawa, Canada. Specifically, in the basement of the library of Parliament Hill. There used to be a colony of cats that lived behind Parliament Hill, and Abyss was their king. The colony was shutdown in 2013, ostensibly because the number of cats was shrinking naturally, but that's just what he wants you to believe. In reality, Abyss was slowly accruing influence on the government, and once he reached stage 2 of his plan didn't need the public colony anymore and moved his lab into the secret labyrinth beneath the Library's basement. Who knows what he's planning next, but it's probably no coincidence that the Library is shaped like a giant laser antenna thingy, or that the Library just so happens to be closed for "renovations" for the next few years.

He gave it away when he recommended a particular restaurant in the forum-down reddit thread last month that only a local would know. I know because I went to school there and have been to the same restaurant once upon a time

(Also a bajillion other little clues over the years, but let's pretend he's as sneaky as he pretends and it's just that one moment where he slipped up)

I don't think I've hidden that I mostly live in Ottawa. I just spend large chunks of time in Montreal and Toronto as well.

Also, parallel dimensions, alternate timelines, pocket worlds, space-time folded terraformed moons, and the occasional distillery.
