Just had a healthy pasta bake with more salt than the sea init. It was topped off with a vitamin filled garlic bread stick and a nutritious cheesecake

Need to lift and run tomorrow

Yoga, yoga and more yoga - I can't hear the word anymore ever since I started with this Yoga teacher training (Vinyasa style based on the Mysore Ashtanga School). 6 days a week personal practice is encouraged; well I admit I haven't managed to find this routine since I started 8 weeks ago, but definitely 4 to 6 times at least one hour per day - ahhhhhh!
However, I must say I have noticed interesting and over all positive changes in the physiology, muscles, flexibility, strength, overall tone and shape, and also appetite. I have had a fairly healthy lifestyle and diet with lots of fruit, veg, nuts, little meat, reduced carbs, lots of water, little alcohol (for the past 3 years), lots of all kinds of exercise, but generally cycling and Yoga in the past 2 years, but now, it's gone even better without me forcing to eat "healthier", I just have cravings for fresh, tasty, appealing to the eye food, preferably home-cooked. Crazy. Other stuff has also changed, like my composure- calmer, more relaxed, more focused, less stressed, generally happier.
I used to do all kinds of exercises, free weights, cardiovascular, martial arts and boxing- but Yoga kind of does it all for me know, and the great thing is I can change my routine and make it super dynamic, or restorative, or power or stretching.
We are also encouraged to write a daily practice journal, and reading back over entries from the beginning, it's kind of impressive to see that there has been progress in poses which I had in my mind that I was never gonna be able to do them because of this and that and I'm just not able to do it and now I can- or at least I give it a go.

I am amazed at the plasticity and adaptability of the human body which I can observe on myself right now, it's really motivating- all it takes is some dedication, some discipline, something you enjoy and the only obstacle to experiencing these changes is not size, gender, age, flexibility or strength... it's laziness.

me and the wife do a routine every other night now of

warm up cardio for ten mins then

repeating sets of 18/16/14/12/10/8/6/4 reps

lunges crossed with 8 kilo weights in both hands arm curls
left side punches with 2.5kilo weights
right side punches with 2.5kilo weights
stationary squat (timed by number of reps in seconds)
maison twist with varying weights

another cardio set breaks it up after the set of twelve reps then some stomach work and stretching to cool down after. takes about fifty minutes to an hour. She uses lighter weights though

Skyrim/MW3 killed all my workouts for last week. I feel like I'm fattening back up but I have gotten compliments on losing weight.

So confused.

Simple - you are losing muscle definition (hence the 'fattening up' feeling) and at the same time eating crap snackfood with sod all nutritional content - hence the 'losing weight' :)

drinksinbars - is that a Crossfit workout? looks similar to some of theirs.

Now that my keyboard is working again I should remember to post in here regularly.

I am sticking to a monday to friday weightlifting schedule. Trained Chest and Triceps today and did some back extensions for the core.

I get nothing but invites all day long when I'm playing Skyrim to play MW3. And I have no urge to do so. SOMETHING HAS BROKEN MY ADDICTION TO FPSes... for now.

And Coco, I'm actually eating less than when I was working out so that is under control, the problem is that yes, I'm losing definition most likely. If only I could actually make a living with a sword and shield and plate mail and running around in a fantasy world while being dragonborn... I bet I would stay pretty damn fit!

I've been using the MyFitnessPal app on my iPhone (the app idea given me by our very own Grimmy) and basically it does what Amph said to do, which is I tell it all my vitals and lifestyle and how much I'd like to lose and it organizes a caloric intake schedule that drops me about 200 calories a day from what I was used to (without allowing me to go into starvation mode) and I slowly lose weight without feeling like I am on a crash diet.

So far since I started using it in mid/late-October, I've lost 12 pounds! I've an eye to lose about 9 or ten more and then hopefully maintain at that level.

I basically eat what I want (just in moderation paying attention to calories and fat ect.), and I run for a half hour every other day (which offsets the calories further), and I am finding that it's fairly easy to do as long as I am vigilant about moderation. I also find that I am eating a lot less processed stuff, and a lot more fresh simply because I can eat more of it and feel fuller without tacking on unwanted calories.

Got drunk friday. Have had a two day hangover and got a bit of a kick in friday night aswell which hasnt helped my motivation to lift. I start a new job tomorrow so will lift tomorrow now I have structure to my day.

Still hungover as fuck.

Also while everyones on a skyrim vibe, I bought Oblivion to stop me buying Skyrim. Ive played it before a fair bit but its raped my free time over the past few days. Hangover cure.
