I have finally read and caught up, sorry for being away. I was out last night, it's Beatles week near where I live so I was drinking heavily yesterday afternoon/evening. I am off work today as well which is great.

On the game so far, Fener/Thyr have provided us with a lot of distraction but I am inclined to think along the same lines as Barghast that they may be a town handicap rather than top scum. Think back to the beginning of the game and how the Morgy set things up, do you really think he'd make scum this way? I don't see it, I think we had a high probability of lynching one of these day one because usually day one cases are hard to come by.

I am thinking that Shadow is a good vote, the only thing i'd be wary of is if he was roled in some way but I don't think he is, I just don't see a roled player playing the way Shadow has been playing.

Barghast: scum finds it interesting and not a little bit ironic that Barghast talks about applying pressure and such to get people to talk and find Thyrllan, suspicion the only reason it seems Barghast spoke up is because Thyrllan implored him in no uncertain terms to provide his opinion/information or be cast into the great pool of when, into shores Barghast is wont to dip his toes whose. is it As, people 'different' outlook appears to give him the same list of suspects as most Barghast's. suspects curiously makes Thyrllan less sure about his own decisions on This, moment he is not overly fond of Barghast's vibe at the as.

There are 2 reasons here. One: as I already said, i don't have the time to be doing massive readings and pressuring myself, so I can't play the game the way I like it to be played. Having your chef walking in and him not wanting to see a browser except during lunch is kind of detrimental to case building, and copy/paste to Word does not really work well. Believe me, I've tried. So, I deal with the same info as you guys do.


Two: I've got a bigger PI list than most of you guys (mostly due to the Fener/Thyr issue and the Osseric reveal) and am not afraid to say I'm not convinced at all of the scumminess of others even if they are on my scum radar. Sure, we've gotten 5 CFs so far, but two of whom were bound to be inno because they were scum picks. The majority of people is still unknown and even though we are now playing for a week, we're only on day 3. I guess where I differ from several of you is that I've more defended others than accused them. Might be how I play the game, and I guess that might make you nervous as defending or PI-ing isn't in most people's playbooks unless it is themselves they're defending or it concerns a finder reveal.
However, if the only way someone is allowed to disagree with something is by being silent and not voting for that person... we're back to being sheeple. I've seen the JA days and they were no fun for town. As for being unsure about your opinions thanks to mine and yours being the same, well... your insecurity is entirely your own problem.

when i put my vote on Shadow it was too see if he would come out of his shell and also to see if anyone actually come out to try and defend him or try and push in another direction.
None of that has really happened and it makes me a little less sure of this lynch.

I suppose that all the sudden talk of fener and Thyr being scummy again could be considered an attempt at distraction.

at this point i just dont see any other option though.

Now, why on earth do we even consider a single killer setup is beyond me. For a M&P game at least 25% of the player pool will be team-scum. So, two killers at this point makes more sense, and it also gives a meaning to a guard being in game (if Osseric is telling the truth about his reveal). If there's a single killer in there, then having a guard around makes the game more of a luckfest than mafia, since a single lucky day 1 NA could potentially block a NK, and point us to the direction of the killer. What would be the meaning behind that?

Setting up lynches at this day? On what grounds? Do you understand, that with the mod kill taking place, Day 3 leaves us with 11 players, and if we don't hit a scum (killer) on the day 3 lynch, then we sit on a day 4 D-Day, with 9 players, and potentially all 4 scum (25% of the 16 player pool) alive?

If we hit scum today, we lynch based on whether we can make a connection between the scum and someone else. Eventually we will have to find his partner. The only occasion we're gonna lynch someone else, is if we're 100% sure they are a symp, and we are having trouble making links between an already lynched and verified killer with another player still alive.

You can't operate under that assumption, because that is not the Worse Case Scenario.
And that's almost mandatory for town - we have to always be aware of the WCS and part of our decisions should be based upon that.
