Seems we got ourselves some active folks...

Since when though do we go for the 'supposed' symp rather than the one he's symping for?

It's all about strategory, man.

Hello Everyone!

I step in out of the rain for only a moment and you have some sorry sap up against the wall.

Aggressive. Love it! Everyone Run and get their pitch fork, we are gonna have ourselves a lynchin in the old inn!

(I thought we had culled out all the early fun from these games. Good to see we can still be aggressive early.)

But.... aren't we supposed to be lynching the suspected symp's master? An inno CF really doesn't help us on day 1.

Which if you believe Osseric is symping and he actually is...is what we would get.

I see the RP boys are coming out of the closet early this game. How nice.

...

I put on my robe and wizard hat.

I see an ornate hat hook (people still use these things) sitting dusty by the door. Brass dragons as the hooks caught my eye. Hopefully that is a good sign as I snagged it as an inpromptu spear as this place has given me the willies since I first stepped in the door. The menance sensation has racheted up since I crossed the threshold and I'm instantly on the defensive. I am considering going back out in the rain but I spot a corner booth. That looks like a safe place to wait out the storm, I thought, as I head over there.

I see everyone is gearing up for some type of fight. I promptly get naked and start shooting tequila. This should loosen the mood! Though some might say I have now made the inn a scarier place...

Galain nekkid!!

3 votes gathered up fast - Reminded me of some past attempts at speed-lynchin while trying to mask it under the <some people haven't posted on the thread yet so if we end up with no night kill it means one of them is scum that hasn't send a provisional in (and who would do, in the first couple hours of a 36h day game)>.

Though it's still early - there are some things that can make you go hmmm.

First it's Osseric's vote on Kalse (who voted for Galain) which sounds more like a OMGUS kinda thing, only his name is Osseric and not Galain.

Then, it's Sorrit's vote on Fener which is totally out of the blue, though there's a long history of lynching that alt asap, regardless.

What I am particularly suspicious though, is behavior like D'riss and Silanah.

Both arrive after some smack-down has been laid --- Then D'riss asks the same question I did three posts above his (coupled with some other fruity stuff) then Silanah seems to ignore the rest of the votes going on, instead focusing on the RP side of people (which btw was only for like a couple posts out there) - and then both go MIA once more.
Skimping is a scum privilege or a bad-played townie , and I'd rather without any of these, tbh.

This is a regular M&P game with standard roles. There may be some role combination, but nothing that hasn't been seen before.

The day will last for 36 hours

The Night will last until all night actions are in, but no longer than 12 hours

Sequence of possible actions:
Guard-heal-kill-find

There is a CF. The CF will reveal whether a player is an innocent or a cultist, and the identity of the player.

Underlined parts.
Yes, this might be a regular M&P game, yes, you might say there is no <cult> or what so ever
Yet, it's "Call of Cthulhu" themed, and Call of Cthulhu is ALL about cultists, Lovecraft's work is all over cults and cultists, so regardless what you say, even after I see the spoilers thread and everything is revealed and there is no "cult" in there - I'll still believe that there was supposed to be a cult, but something happened.
It's like mandatory to have a cult in a themed game like that. Yet, anyone recalls standard M&P games having cults in them?

I don't think that was a slip-up, but probably it's meant to be scum=cultists , in the above quoted post , yet I'd rather be prepared for the worst than believe otherwise and be surprised.
16 player M&P game :: Paired killers - two symps? Four-scum overall, or a combo of such, at least?
Thoughts?

Hullo all. 3 votes on someone already, now isn;t that a weird, weird thing for so early day 1? Are we that glad to provide Morghy with a co-mod?

@ Anthras: I wouldn't read too much in D'riss asking the same question you did. We all love to be the one to be the first with the bright idea and sometimes the only way to have that Eureka! moment is by ignoring others who had it before you did. Moreoever, the more people say the same thing, the more there is a chance it gets listened to.
So, don't get your panties in a bunch, right now, you seem like a real eager kid who wants a sweet for being the smart one.

Unless............... the thing about it that got you all hot and bothered is that you read it as a very open symping attempt by D'riss through parroting, and you fear we'll find out, so you distance by calling it into question? If that's the case, wow, I'm gooooooooooood at this game.

Good to see we skipped most of the regular day 1 RP, though.

Barghast out for now, again.

Wow, Barghast, you got me there :p

Skimping is bad - and there's no excuse for it. Especially when people seem to be looking for symping attempts very early into a game, yet they somehow don't bother commenting on things that seem to be happening already in the thread.

Coffee is ready, 6packs are already in the fridge getting cold , and there's a bunch of Champions League games coming up, not to mention Barca-Real ...
I'll be around for a while more though.

Though I appreciate the support... Now it looks like you are symping me.

I play at work. I post when I can, I happened to start my response, get pulled away, then finished it. Anth, just had the same, and logical, question I had. Why vote the symp rather than the sympee.

in regards to cultists, the fact that Morghy went out of his way to say that the CF will differentiate cult vs. normal players leads me to think there has to be a cult.

I mentioned both you and Silanah - yet Barghast only commented on the parts I mentioned about you.

So, what do you think?
Town vs Cult game?
Town vs Scum vs Cult game? Three faction game isn't the definition of M&P one though, is it?

Let's hope PS can shed some light into this.

My guess is town vs. cult ( 1 leader to start) vs. killer (either paired killers or 1 killer and 1/2 symp). It can still be M&P as long as it's all basic. Like 1 kill for the killers per night, 1 recruit per night. and very basic town roles.

when the mod says it's m&p then it's m&p. don't start trying to confuse people. cult is the flaver of scum for this particular game not the type of scum. scum will be killers and symps. it also looks like there could be guards, healers and finders.

I agree with TS on this, but will welcome clarification from P-S so we can not start hunting cultists & worrying about recruits
