There's a lot of things that one wouldn't expect they would be in a M&P game, yet we are currently dealing with some.
True.
I'm currently swaying between voting Tulas and Fener. I don't like Telas' vote much but theirs seem worse. Korlat seems almost as bad as Tulas, except that Tulas seems to also be attempting to set up a lynch in advance on Fener.
Fener has contributed bugger all, hasn't explained his vote, and is being a big distraction(no, I didn't like that you attacked Thyr for this anth, because Thyr is actually contributing).
Thyr might actually seem like he's contributing (could be a good played scum as well) but at the moment he's riding Osserics reveal.
Afaik with Osseric and Thyrllan ::: I was concerned with Osseric not been around yesterday right at lynch time and after that, simply because he revealed roled town. Even if the role he claims isn't particularly dangerous for scum initially (and that's under the assumption that a solo guard can't shut down a paired killer - common NK combo by a lucky guard NA on day 1), they'll want to get rid of the guard (if he's telling the truth) when the game moves on to the final stages. And knowing who the guard is, makes it easier. So in the off-set he was the target of a NK, and his CF revealed town guard (btw I'm not even sure if the CF will reveal town roles, I think it only states faction, yet again don't take me for granted on that one), then letting us know who his NA target was, could help team town by PI-ing someone else (all under the assumption of paired killers - one night kill - guard on one blocks the NK type of thinking... which could be wrong, but hey, it's what came on my mind for a pretty standard scum team set up)
My whole beef was that I kept thinking 'standard M&P game' with 16 players. So, I went with the 4 team scum member team - two paired killers with outside thread communication and one common NK, and one symp for each of them - scenario.
Now if we assume and accept that Osseric is telling the truth (And just because he revealed guard and noone counter-revealed or called him out on it, doesn't mean he IS indeed a guard. There's always the off-set of guard not actually been in play here. Far stretched maybe, but the possibility, even if low, is there.) and we also assume that we are dealing with a paired killer - one common NK combo, then this means that Thyrllan is not one of the killers we are looking for (since Osseric said he guarded him with his NA). He could still be a symp, but his CF would say 'inno' so it's again not a guarantee team-scum member elimination.
Again, the above mentioned speculation and theorycrafting is under the assumption that a guard can block a [paired killers - common night kill] combo.
That's a lot of <if's> though, if you ask me.
Also, Osseric's NA target seems a bit surprising, to say the least. Thryllan and Fener's posting methods really stand out. They will catch our eye, eventually. Why bother with one of them as an NA? Can they be killers? Sure, anything is possible. But staging a game where a killer gets such a distinctive posting method which attracts the eye so easily, is... meh. You can get lynched simply for posting like that, without doing anything else. So, it semi beats the purpose.
But so far this games mechanics seem a bit strange, to say the least.
