Thanks for the heads up. For some reason, my key got used up without opening the chest, so I'd like to get another chance.

I may or may not have created a Twitter account simply to get those codes...

You don't need a twitter account though, just google gearbox twitter and you'll be able to see the tweets with the codes.

I'm such a nerd. I'm getting up at 730 on a sat morning, just to get a gold key.

Just played the mechromancer a bit but then I realized that it takes a couple of hours before you even unlock the skill tree so I put it on hold. The skill tree certainly looks interesting though. I can see what they mean about especially the left one being borderlands 2 on easy mode but it also looks like it would make combat a lot more fun.

Finally finished my first play through with Zero. I was slightly disappointed by the ease of every boss, through hopefully the harder mode will resolve those issues. Also only found 1 orange gun, which was a pistol, so I barely used it. Again, hoping hard mode loot will be more of the orange variety. Otherwise, had a lot of fun with it.

True Vault Hunter Mode is much more difficult. I'd say the Badass to normal enemy ratio in the first playthrough is something like 20 to 1. In TVHM its closer to 5 or 3-1. And the bosses are much more difficult. Theres also new enemies that are more challenging. PS - You will HATE rabid skags and corrosive rats.

The loot does seem to get better also. Not sure about more oranges dropping, but definitely more purple and blue.

Haven't played much, only got to that plot event where you go back to the Fridge so far.

Spoiler

Also I am enjoying that this is harder than BL1. Not hard but harder than the first. Though stopping shooting and running away behind cover after putting you in Fight For Your Life is a total dick move, AI!
Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

I've laughed so many times playing this game. When the Buzzards yell the theme to Ride of the Valkyries or yell "Tora! Tora! Tora!" I still laugh. Also when a Goliath goes into a rage gets me every time.Posted Image

Has anyone defeated Hyperius the Invincible at the end of the "Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate's Booty" dlc? I'm a level 44 assassin and it takes two explosions from him to kill me (one to take my shield down to nothing, the next to kill me). The mission says you should be level 50 and that the difficulty is "Impossible". Anyway, just wondering if you gamers have had a run at this guy. He is the most difficult "boss" I've faced in BL2. #sadface

Yeah, him and Mr Gee the Invincible are...hard...as....hell!

But it is alot easier if you're a 50, and have 2-3 people in your group.

I'm guessing its impossible until you're a 50 with good gear. Even then, soloing either one would be damn near impossible also.

Hyperius is doable with a Baby Maker and a Tediore mag increase relic PLUS the Bee shield. It adds the Amp damage to every bullet in your magazine and will do 25 Million damage per toss.
