If Khell is not MH, we have to have a fake finder that is lying (and being MH), and another that has not revealed. I don't want a head explosion right now, thanks anyway

Can anyone think of a WCS that means we messed up somewhere alonf the way?

I don't think there's any way this is possible. If he's not MH it's more likely that we misunderstood the game mechanics than there being a finder who hasn't revealed for God knows what reason while MH leads us all down the merry path to scum victory.

It is blindingly obvious that there are only 2 finders. I don't think that there are any others, and since Drek said that this was a MP game with a slight twist. I am pretty confident that she didn't do something stupid like put a insane finder or a something like that in the game. A move like that would take the game past tmdi 4 and on to a 7 or 8. Which isn't what most of us signed up for.

I can't tell if you're agreeing with me or not, but yeah, that's what I'm saying. I think it's more likely there is only 1 MH than it is we have a fake finder or anything of that nature, but neither of these are as likely as there being 2 MH...

Wow. I see that PS helped to clarify some shit and you guys lynched Shin and then Kurt. Of course Kurt kind of self destructed (beautifully might I add). Now we are looking at Kell.

I have a couple of problems here. The first being who is the one who chooses a successor. The master (if Kell is that) or the rebel. If both choose successors then wouldn't there still be 2 MH. Assuming that there are two now. Which I am not so sure of. I do agree that we need to get rid of Khell, if for nothing else but to remove the WIFOM and possible waste of a FK.

Vote Khell

I've been wondering this as well. Kurt was the rebel, afaics, so will have chosen the successor, who will now be MH, and also chosen a successor. The question is if the succession mechanic is triggered by both the rebel and the original MH, or just the rebel since only he chose a successor.

Iirc the OP says it triggers when MH dies, and doesn't specify, which leads me to assume that it means when either MH dies(i.e, we're still dealing with 2 MH after Khell is lynched-whoever Kurt chose and whoever the person Kurt chose chose(or chooses, since we've moved quite quickly, and the new rebel may not even have been on yet)).

Well, now that we are down to 7 people, this should go a lot more quickly and smoothly. With two more finds (unless ansible remembered to do one last night...) we will be down to 3 suspicious people. Get another lynch on MH, and then we just need one more day lynch and WE WIN!!!

We are starting to get to a tricky situation now. There are only 7 of us left. But there are only 5 left whom the MH can possibly be a successor to. Now each lynch become majorly important.

But remember we have to kill him for a total of 6 times. We have killed him once. Right now I would put his chances at winning on par with ours.

Well, that makes no fucking sense.

ansible, Grief, Gust Hubb, HiddenOne, Mentalist, Tattersail, Vengeance

Everyone left has either claimed finder or supposedly been found.

And yet, the original MH is not dead. Kurts CF makes it pretty clear he was the rebel. So where is the original MH? The OP claims the scum faction is MH and the people he makes rebel, so I don't believe the "one scum at a time idea"

Something dodgy going on with the finders seems pretty much the only option. However, this suggests that there's a finder who didn't counter reveal, which seems unlikely. The only possibility here I can see is if we lynched a finder, before they got a chance to reveal.

Yeah, I know, which is why we want to use the finders judiciously to narrow down the voting field, and if the finders hit MH, well there is our wiggle room since they can do that twice with no fear.

Actually, I'd say MH is at an advantage atm. 1 correct out of 5 is not good.

My best guess right now is that the original MH who makes a leader rebel at the beginning of the game is an NPC. We see in the story he was already "captured" once and now he's been "captured" when the rebel (Kurt) was killed. It looks like MH is a story element that will always get captured when we eliminate the rebel, who has only one successor. Otherwise, the results of our finds and lynches don't make sense. Everyone except Khell was either cleared by a find or lynched before MH died. With Khell being inno, either the other MH CFs as town (not likely since P-S said all finds will kill all MH), or there's only 1 player in the game at a time who is MH.

[edit - added to last sentence for clarity]

I think of MH as a baton, to be passed from player to player. Think of it like this village joins MH, and thus the player is playing both as him/herself and MH (like a twosome). In this context, it makes perfect sense, and refrains from the image of MH getting killed resurrected killed resurrected, etc.

The scum faction consists of Meng Huo and the southern regional leaders who he has incited to rebel.

This suggests to me that he is not a game mechanic.

So do we want to go to night to give the finders one more shot at clearing the field of townie dead wood, or what other action next?

I'm leaning towards going to night and having the finders investigate each other actually. Just to be sure, and because it doesn't cost us anything(since we're not looking at a situation where we lynch the finders).

I agree that it does sound that way, but it's possible that the "southern regional leaders who he has incited to rebel" means the designated successors, since the successor becomes the new rebel. All of the previous rebels/successors are considered "scum" as well as the current MH.

edit - made "successors" plural
