Oh and I just Hammered Khell...
Welcome back buddy.
Haha, thanks Venge, I appreciate that the first thing you did with your new evil persona was to wipe me out of the game
In all honesty D'rek, the way you worded the OP was confusing. I think it should have been plainly stated that the first Meng Huo you refer to is a non-player character. I half-suspected that, but never voiced it in the thread because I knew I would get shot down. And, even though I believed for most of the game that there was only one person at a time we were meant to find, I was never entirely certain, and, if anything, your clarification message just made things even more confusing rather than clearing it up.
Having said that, town has to get the majority of the blame. We've played poorly from what was a fantastic position thanks to the finders being jammy with their finds and not hitting MH earlier on. I was banging my head in frustration when they switched from lynching Kurt: I mean, the guy was a target for ages, didn't come on thread or say anything at all to defend himself, and all of a sudden Grief starts gunning for me, and then Shinrei, and the rest follow like sheep. Highly frustrating.
Even when Grief started to realise that his arguments didn't make sense because of the way I'd voted in the past, it was too late. They'd made their minds up to lynch all three of us, and there was no way they were going to use a find on me like I suggested, because they've got it into their heads that FKs are solely to be used for endgame only, even if there is clearly something wrong with what they had believed. Well, guess what? It's endgame now. This is scum's to lose.
Very well played Kurt, and I loved the way you bowed out
And thanks for setting up the game, D'rek, sorry if that first bit sounded like I wasn't happy - I really enjoyed my game back.
Point taken on the OP. I didn't predict at all that it would generate so much confusion, and once that was going anything non-ambiguous I said would be non-partisan and helping the town a lot. In retrospect, I probably should have rephrased "the successor will become the new rebel and Meng Huo and will designate their own successor." into "the successor will become a rebel and Meng Huo. They will designate their own successor." so that there was no confusion from the double "and" being taken wrongly.
OTOH, this game was supposed to be hard for town in the first place, just like the other RotK Tales games, since the advantage the Town faction will gain for the last (next) full game is a HUGE benefit. But you'll have to wait and see about that...

It looks like the finders might get lucky again. Tattersail has decided to make Venge his fourth find, and hopefully ansible will decide only to investigate those people that Tat didn't mention. If that happens and they keep voting for night, they'll be able to lynch Venge easily.
4th is pretty far down the line, though. Venge's best play, IMO, is to look as town-like as possible while they vote night a couple times, then when there's 2 or 3 candidates left, before he would get FK'd, try to suggest voting one of the other non-found based on the good odds and a compelling case that that person is scum.
Only someone with this much power could make this many frittatas without breaking any eggs.
