Raker
A member of the Circle of Eighteen, one of the Rebel leaders in the war against the Lady; he is a tall, lean old man. While we should be wary of over-relying upon matching the books to the game ... I don't see how Raker being aligned with the Lady makes much sense.

Where are you getting that Raker is aligned with the Lady?

I am here when I can, and contribute as I have time to, I have (other than my first 3 posts) tried to add my 2 cents, and make meaningful posts. I realize my post count is low, but it should be judged on quality, not quantity. For instance, has Anthras who is second in posting, behind Korbas, contributed much at all, other than the occasional joke and possibly 4 serious comments?

I, for one, don't think I have the relationships figured out between possible character's links to factions. CF of names dont mean a lot to me since I haven't read the books, and they seem to be confusing those people who have read the books. All that leaves is pinky's claims of faction name to go on.

Mockra was the only one without a name, right? My first thought was maybe that meant he was recruited, but I don't see why a character would lose their name just because they were recruited, so I'm guessing Mockra wasn't important.

@ Anthras - maybe he's the Dominator, and since he's still "asleep" he can only post a couple of times a day.

I think the main characters with names are the ones with roles/powers, and Mockra was an example of RI

Are you suggesting that some seperate factions are allied?

Its possible there are some common goals between factions, which would be a type of alliance. It's impossible to guess what strange mechanics may be in play. Bookwise, for what it's worth, Soulcatcher worked for the Lady, but always had an eye on her own plans, maybe taking her place or similar. If I'm remembering this wrong, someone correct me.

WHy are you guys suggesting raker was in the lady fraction? Korbas said right there he is rebel and that seems to fit the story the best.

imho, the < female soldier > or < male rebel >, etc roles are RIs in their faction and the named ones are roled seems like a logical notion.

As for only 2 deaths last night - soulcatcher is a Taken and they are supposed to be big bads so maybe he had a kill power. With the 4 factions it would make sense to me that each one has a kill except the Dominator who recruits.

Makes sense and its not an unheard of mafia mechanic: small fraction inside a bigger fraction and the leader of the smaller one can take over the big fraction if the big fraction leader dies (and possibly other conditions are met). I guess we dont need to worry about it much with soulcatcher dead though unless he had a lieutenant who could take over with the same ability to replace the big leader (the Lady in this case yes??)

but it wouldnt of been called soul catchers faction in the first CF from that team we got, if that was a subset of the ladys faction....would it?

I havent read the books, but if One-Eye (I think it was mentioned he was BC) was a member of the Soul-Catchers, does that make Soulcatcher a good guy or a bad guy in the books?
