Welp, I re-watched the entirety of Gundam Wing + Endless Waltz over the past 3 nights/days.
I think that qualifies as a binge?

Wow, that's what, like 50 episodes plus a couple movies?! Yeah, that's impressive, it wasn't even a long weekend!
How was it? Still hold up from what you remember?

49 + 3-episode OVA
Yeah, it's still good. Full of that 90s optimism, the way it keeps going on about world peace and the dream of everyone resolving conflicts with worlds.
Not gonna lie, it's good to watch a feel-good story once in a while. And hey, loads of big, colourful robots exploding each other.
Moving on to Gundam X. It's a post-apoc show, which is pretty atypical for the genre.

One of the anime my sister has been working on has come out, odd taxi. Interesting cross between murder mystery and comedy. It's very dry and I'm pretty sure some of the jokes aren't translating well, but proud to see my sister's work finally come out.

Eh, folk say the worldbuilding in 86 isn't realistic, but then America exists and regularly inhumanely executes minorities on the spot and all the blondies just shrug and say muh blue lives, so you know. I expect this is going to be a Rejoice moment... As an aside, the speech wasn't something in the first LN so I assume they've rejigged some stuff from early volumes as happened in Goblin Slayer. The title of the next episode means I know exactly what's coming and I hope they don't skimp on the nasty.
Slime T: LOLI SLIME DAUGHTERS. Every scene is playing out exactly as I'd hoped it would from reading the novels.
Vivy is very much shaping up to be the unknown quantity that hits hardest this season. Great visually, great audio, interesting storyline that goes into AI agency, free will, etc etc.

First episode of DEMON SLAYER down, and yeah...that was some good stuff!

Wait whaaaaaaaaa your sister worked on it? What and how? Spill spill spill!
I caught the first episode of it last week. It's pretty interesting, kind of calm but insidious.

Demon Slayer starts off as pretty good and then you hit The Moment and shit your pants uncontrollably. As D has already quoted me doing, whoops. It was pretty hype.
Eternity E2 was interesting. I'm wondering what overall bent they're going for with the story.

She moved to Tokyo and started working on anime a few years ago as a translator, and is now a translator/producer on a few different anime.
This is the first thing she worked on that has come out, she's also worked on season 2 of bee and puppy cat, and I'm extremely excited about some of what she's working on now but I can't talk about it yet.
I am extremely jealous of her sometimes, she got a christmas card from lucasfilm this year!

Can you say if there are any upcoming shows that have already been announced that she's involved in? owo

What she's working on has been announced but for weird reasons she can't reveal she is working on it. Some people's contracts are weird. I can say she is working with lucasfilm, so you can probably figure it out

Wow, that's amazing! Go her!
Is it like an in-studio thing or is she part of a company that the studios contract with to do translation and producer work for them sorta thing?
I have no idea what the lucasfilm connection could be, tbh. (but that's okay! her secret is safe with me since I don't even know it!)

I'm gonna assume it's the Quintuplets movie. Based on literally no evidence at all. Whee!

She used to work for olm as in studio translator (specifically to facilitate their collaboration with an American company, mainly Natasha Allegri's translator whilst she was in Japan), but she now works for a smaller company which specialises in facilitating collaborations between Japanese studio's and foreign companies.
I'm very proud of her! I will let you all know what she worked on when it comes out, I assume most of you will be watching it!

Mmm, Slimes this week was good. Again going exactly how I pictured it.
I felt the end sequence of this week's 86 was a bit rushed compared to the LN, though. The novel had a much more notable sense of horror to it. The rant was absolutely on point, though.
Shadows House gets creepier and creepier. It's probably the closest to a successor to Neverland S1 that we'll get - things seem happy and fluffy but there is something dark and ominous going on there...

Finished Gundam X.
It's presented in short, 3-4 episode "arcs", and the overall story ends up feeling rushed. Tone goes from post-apoc to business as usual, and that's a bit jarring. Though the "life goes on" ending is...overall nice?
I can see why this one is considered the low point; But still worth a watch, imo.

Confession time: I have never watched any Gundam show. Not even a single episode.
