Just stopped in to say that the Alabasta Arc in ONE PIECE is LONG! 39 eps! Holy shitsnacks! It's good, but I'm only halfway through it so far!

It's awesome. I have only one minor nitpick with the arc, but it is non-essential to the story - which is a testament to how freakin' good One Piece was and continues to be.

I can tell I'm going to regret starting this when I get around to it next month. *sigh*

Indeed, it's one of those arcs where I keep thinking "sweet hell, what else can happen?!" and then something further happens I wasn't expecting. Very, very good.

I just finished reading Tower of God - and it is pretty sweet, I love the world (like an endless hunter x hunter exam) and the drawing (in colours) is beautiful.

I can easily recommend this.

so, how many eps are there now, i know they have the longest running anime episodes along with Naruto, Bleach and even Fairy Tail all have reached 300+ eps now,
are they now reaching the Grand Line?

Amph would know better than me...but I THINK they are somewhere in the 540 eps area of a projected 1000.

We are at Episode 552 and Chapter 671 as of last Saturday.

It is the greatest anime/manga ever made.

well, i won't refute that, they have proven that, i sometimes watch this but not really religiously, as i tend to shy away from VERY LONG series like those i mentioned from my post,
like emo-naruto w/c is full of flashbacks, idk if its true that Bleach will be having its season finale? Fairy Tail is still pretty much new, but its already catching up w/ many episode fillers too,
and if i will spend for dvds of this, well, i'll have to start from the beginning, 'cause i've missed on so many episodes now,
Vivi's the other babe, who could pass her hands(and body?) through like walls or something right?

@Quick Tidal, yeah, Luffy's so good and honorable, and so loyal to his friends/crew,

Far as I know, no, Vivi does not have any particular powers. Vanilla human (which is stretched a little in the series for ninja-ish powers of concealment and weapons utilization).

As for the length of it, yeah, the sheer bulk is a bit daunting, but it's worth it.

I think Bleach's anime is done, but the manga is going on again. The ceasing of the anime seems to be because people fell out of love with the author and started noticing his flaws much more and he just couldn't muster up much post-The Big Story Arc. I stopped paying attention to it a while before the anime did, but it felt like the creator just ran out of juice and forethought to keep the world open and interesting - just dead end after dead end.

Naruto - I stopped watching/paying attention to long ago because the creators of it have no concrete idea what they are doing anymore. It got Robert Jordan/Crossroads of Twilight level bad and never got better.

i stopped reading the manga and watching the anime after the Jiraiya-Pain/Nagato-Naruto Arc, well, you could tell who i really like, that is the best story out of naruto, seconded by his origin story - Yondaime/Kushina-Madara-Kyubi
funny, you mentioned that, as i just finished Crossroads of Twilight

re-watching Gundam Seed Destiny - for someone who really likes Kira and Freedom in Seed, i hate and abhor his existence (and Strike Freedom) in Seed Destiny, he totally hi-jacked the show, and the Destiny Gundam was relegated to being the series' villain, SO MESSED UP,
i'm persevering as i'm in a Gundam frenzy again, will be acquiring a new model kit by next month, and hopefully more in the coming months,

been meaning to watch the Unicorn Gundam OVA series, the Sinanju and Kashatriya are both awesome-looking, has anyone seen this ova series?

I stopped watching naruto and bleach a long time ago because characters were behaving retarded. Luckily it is much easier to pass that by when it is a comic of 18-22 pages.

For those reading the mangaes, again I really have to point out that Tower of God is fantastic. I am unsure whether it exist as an anime as well, but I do not think so.

haven't read that one, there is an anime, Tower of Druaga, which is a Fantasy-themed series, although this is not the one you're mentioning, the titles are just the connection, both have Tower in them, i'll check that one out,

Just finished watching "Ghost Hunt", which was brilliant. It spaces the individual arcs out nicely, giving them 3-4 episodes each on average, and for what amounts to a horror series, it had really good pacing, characters, and comic relief moments. At this point I just wish there was another season... :D (I seem to have this problem a lot with anime...dammit...) So highly recommend that one.

Next up is, I think, Bokurano. I've heard it claimed that this makes Evangelion look like Care Bears, so that should be...interesting. XD

And meanwhile, One Piece continues to filter slowly through. Hopefully I can watch at least the first block of twenty or so by the time I'm done with Bokurano, though I'll probably intersperse a rewatch or two or three, or ten in there somewhere. >.<

^Oh God, if you tear up easily DON'T watch Bokurano. Such a depressive anime.

So far the only thing the world that works on me is CLANNAD. If Bokurano can even get close to that I will be impressed. XD

And...Castaway..."Wiiiiiiillllsooooooooooon!!!" >.>

But yeah. I should be OK. :D

SWORD ART ONLINE ANIME STARTED AIRING. WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

Stupid 7-day delay in new episodes...and it won't even be seven days until I see the next one! :S At least I'll have either Bokurano or One Piece episodes to tide me over, or something. *sigh*

But...SO AWESOME. SO MUCH EXCITE!

Oh, Sword Art Online is very exciting, I admit. Didn't expect the concept to be this interesting.

The concept is just so...gah, I have to admit, I'd be kinda happy to be in that sort of situation. Obviously I'd prefer the situation to be *less* life-or-death, but the whole underlying idea of VRMMOs that you can basically live another life in...that for me, is the absolute pinnacle of gaming entertainment. I think I would run the risk of being like that guy who died playing WoW constantly if we actually got awesome VRMMOs like SAO portrays.

The light novels are pretty good, too. Though the translation I have either leads me to question the writing quality or the translating quality. :D I think I'm up to the fourth volume there.

Also, on a related note: EPISODE TWO AIRS TODAY (the 14th) IN JAPAN!!! Roll on fansubs... :) :) :)
