I think I've noted it before, but I made it through book 1 only. I knew I was reading tripe at the end of that piece of garbage.

just watched ep 3, and currently watching ep 4, i'm taking it slow, 1 ep/day only,
they showed that arrow scene - a la matrix, it not only happened w/ richard, kahlan can also do it!!
man, that was something,
this is the only fantasy i've seen and heard that, i know, some characters can dodge arrows but not in that style and capability,
just mentioning, don't mind me, back to watching legend of the seeker,
maybe i'm a one of those glutton for punishment, i feel evil, hahaha,

I read the whole thing. I actually liked book 7 and later I realized it was because Richard and Kahlan weren't in it. And I found book 8 interesting partly because of the whole hidden colony of magic-killers, but by then it had started to really annoy me. I finished it just because I like finishing things. It was the worst ending of any story I've ever read, that's for sure. But by then it was expected. He could have made the ending good with a revolution, especially seeing as how he started setting it up in book 6, but I get the feeling he didn't go that way because he thought it was too predictable. Which is, of course, stupid.

as Richard's "father" pushed him away to go talk with Zedd, he complains that Zedd was crazy i think what he said,
then saying "He talks with His Chickens"
this series really abounds with chickens, i must say,

I work at a bookstore and I was debating either Terry Goodkind or Steven Erikson. Erikson won by a landslide and I was really glad when I found this forum and realized that TG's series was not well liked. Considering the fact that a lot of the people on this forum share my opinions I'm betting that my time would have been wasted reading these books.

This made me laugh. I watched every episode of Legend of the Seeker. It was the worst show I've ever seen. Truly terrible, where every episode was worst than the last. Despite how disgusting this series was, I actually looked forward to watching it every week. Some friends and I would watch it, mostly to see how terrible it became. For some reason doing this was really entertaining, much like watching terrible movies to laugh, criticize, and basically enjoy an awkward and nonsensical story. The show hits its lowest in season 2, very near the end, at the bottom of a steep slope.

well, the tv series is toned down, that's for sure, i still haven't watched any rape scene in it, richard is always captured but not tortured, sometimes when i'm watching it, i'm always reminded of power rangers, it's kid friendly,
i'm stuck to episode 4, i think, been busy lately, i also remember that episode were some lady announced that zedd has a son, in which he denies it, claiming the night it happened, he used protection!!
as in magical condom!! so how did he do it, me curious,
is this based on book 1, or there are other books in this season, 'cause i haven't seen any shadow of princess violet, the infamous evil child who got kicked in the jaw,
anyway, if i had seen it without knowing where it came from, i might have said that its an okay series,

The first season is roughly based on the first book. I guess you could call it kid friendly, and early season one was bearable. Unfortunately it gets progressively worse. You know, if I recall, the show actually had some decent acting but the writing and story was terrible. The format was annoying in that each episode is some self contained adventure which did not seem to work properly for a show based on an 'epic' book series.

I've read the first hmmm four or five books. I tried reading Faith of the Fallen, but gave up pretty quickly. Currently the books are functioning as "bricks" - a fitting for the middle part broke of, and well TG's books had the right size.
I've just started Gardens of the Moon, which lead me here. I think this thread validates my choice of Erikson.
