What did you think of Dust?
It's a pleasant game. Cartoony, but not in a bad way. A bit on the easy side. Plays wonderfully on K+M. Plenty of backtracking once you unlock new moves, but nothing ridiculous. Doesn't really outstay its welcome. I'd recommend it.

Act 3 of Bound by Flame. Combat is getting more difficult, but there's a story explanation for why the enemies are boosted, and I get a quest that'll weaken them. That's encouraging.

Occasionally. Not in system view at all ever, but on galaxy map with a lot going on, yeah, a little bit.

Vaughan Adventures.
Also why pick silly Beastmaster? Go Siren. COME ON AND SLAM. I've been speccing down the Brawl tree so far. My mate is playing Moze and we have a minigames where I will slam enemies into the air and he clay pigeons them out of the sky.

The Birb Brains and my Peace Turtles now have a border which is souring relations. It's awkward because the only way I can gain any trust from them is to guarantee their independence, but they also border a Fallen Empire who have holy places just outside of their system, so the Birb Brains keep trying to settle these gaia worlds and getting slapped for it. So if I guarantee their independence, I'll also inadvertently get myself in the shit with the big boys.

Bound By Flame. The last areas are a boss gauntlet. And the last boss is a proper, multi-stage, PITA.
Was up till 3 AM last night trying to finish the game, but I suspect it won't happen until the weekend. At this point (30 hours in), I'm too deeply committed not to see the game to its end.
EDIT: 2 hours later, all I can do is quote Fiddler (or was it Hedge?) from RG

Woo-Hoo! took me like 5 hours total (another 3 hours tonight), but I FINALLY beat that final boss.
Might do an evil run later on Easy, just to see if there's any major differences in the story. And try actually using the heavy weapons this time.
Combat got a bit tedious in Act 3, but that's probably due to me sticking with daggers + magic, and not even trying to master the heavy weapons after mid-way into Act I. If I actually tried to learn how to handle the axes, hammers and swords, the game might've had a decent chunk more variety.

Stellaris: the Birb Brains done goofed and researched warp drive. Now I have dimensional horrors feasting on the galaxy with 160k fleets. My strongest is 20k... Is this the end for the Tortle race?

My Space Turtles struck back. One dimensional anchor is down. Now I'm building my fleets up to strike at the other one; seems like Torpedo Corvettes do a lot of damage to them but die very fast. Cruisers and Battleships are the way.

Disaster. The Ruphaari (fallen empire to my west) awakened and I am the nearest galactic power to them, so they declared war on me and rocked up in my outer systems with a 250k fleet. Apparently the galaxy has lived in fear of peaceful space turtles for long enough.
Kind of irritating that they aren't taking on the Unbidden given the whole galactic threat thing...

Is this still Stellaris you're talking about?
How friendly is that game to people who aren't big strategy or 4X players?

Yeah, Stellaris. It has a two-level tutorial (levels as in how much handholding there is) - level 1 is hints and tips here and there, level 2 is full blown explanations for stuff.
It didn't take too much learning, but it is heavily RNG reliant. You can spawn with your home system next to a 17k pirate fleet if you're unlucky, and if you do you'll have to deal with pirate raids from the off.

I suck 5 day unwashed ballsack at RTS games but this one has always tempted me and even more so now that it is on console.
It's not RTS in quite the traditional sense. Combat is mostly RPS.

About half way through the story campaign if Borderlands 3. The actual gunplay is great but I'm starting to have my doubts about the rest of this game.
The story is paper thin and what's there is bad even by borderlands standards. And there's so many little quality of life issues that I don't understand how made it through QA. Lack of vendors and quick travel stations, stupid inventory management, go here go there mission design, etc.

The few times I've survived something like that it's always been through attrition and outmaneuvering. Your fleets repair and replenish, theirs do not. So hits and retreats, followed by another smaller fleet attacking their systems to draw the main fleet away. When they leave the system, scan the battle remains to get that sweet sweet tech. Rinse and repeat until you get your ships up to par with theirs, and their fleet down to a manageable level. Deep layers of fortifications in your systems too.
All that comes to naught though if you don't have the size and industry required to keep up that kind of pressure.
If you do survive though you'll be practically invincible.

Up to Chapter 12 of Valkyria Chronicles 4. I think there are 18 chapters in all. Also finished Chapter 4 of Trails in the Sky SC.
And then played a couple of hours of Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch on Switch last night, because I really needed to start another long-ass JRPG
