I think you may play games more then I watch tv!

I’m mildly impressed.

I gave up watching TV about 10 years ago, so games and book are my main leisure pastime, other than sports.

Just found out Roundabout is part of Novembers PS+ games. Forget about Yakuza and Bulletstorm. Roundabout is where it's at.

I played the hell out of that game on PC. Time to beat it on PS4.

It's a stupid video game.

You drive around a map in a stretch limousine collecting things or delivering people. The kicker is that the limousine is constantly revolving around it's center axis. Meaning you need to anticipate the cars position in relation to roads and obstacles.

On top of that it has tons of story missions that are told via terrible FMV sequences that are actually stupid fun and oddly endearing.

Would not have even looked at this if not for you. Will take a look.

I'm keen to replay bullestorm though,

Gah, died on Wave 19 of the Crucible. Didn't have a lot of time last night, so didn't bother trying again. May try again tonight, or I might just play the DLC dungeon.

Just picked up Shadow of the Tomb Raider from the library. I think I will take a break from Red Dead and play Shadow over the weekend.

Very excited for SOTT. Rise was my favorite game of 2015. But I'm also sort of full on Red Dead. I've been gorging on it and I'm kind of full. I'm halfway through and there's still so much damn content.

OK, so it's a wacky physics based driving sim with a House of the Dead style of dialogue? I can get behind this.

I played some of Bulletstorm again last night. Hot damn, it's still fantastic.

Played a few hours of Shadow of the Tomb Raider.

It's great. If you liked the first ones you'll like this newest one. To me it's a perfect mix of story, exploration and scripted gameplay.

The plot is a bit off though.

Intro/prologue spoilers.

Apparently

Spoiler

That's a bit extreme. The stakes are a bit crazy for my taste and in terms of character guilt I have a hard time swallowing that the hero is framed in this way.

But we'll see. I am sure the story will twist and turn.

Fucking hell. Made it to wave 24, and then burned out on 19 twice.

Basically once I get to the 4th set in a row my concentration starts to slip. Fighting for 20+ minutes in a row just gets brutally repetitive, and then just as the enemies get tougher, my dodging ability slips.

I'm thinking I need to take a few min break between sets.

Other than that, yesterday I ran through Kingdom of the Dead again, scouring it for Soul Arbiter Scrolls this time.

EDIT: Fucking hell... died on wave 25. I hate this thing.

Editagain: woo, finally cleared stage 1! Got some sick loot as prize and picked up really nice possessed scythes that I specced to do max health recovery on top of a health steal bonus. When I went back to the ForgeLands I was killing basic construct enemies with a single hit.

Then went back to the Forgelands, did the bonus dungeon The Scar, and messed around looking for more Book of the Dead pages. I'm up to 27 now, which is pretty solid.

Next up gonna try the DLC dungeon and then see who I gotta face in Stage 2 of the Crucible before moving on to the angels' stuff.

Nearly at the end of Bulletstorm. God DAMN, it still plays so, so well. And this time round I'm actually getting mileage out of the Penetrator.

After a few tries, survived the first 10 waves of Set 2 in the Crucible (wave 35 was actually really easy, compared to a few of the others- those goddamn Ice Stalkers who can freeze you in an ice block were freaking deadly!

Then I got cocky and so I got killed by a Swarm of Wraiths.

So then I stopped and proceeded with the main story. Did all of the Earth segment, and started in the Ivory Citadel. Picked up the portal-making Voidwalker, so now puzzles are getting a bit more complex, mixing Soul Splitter with you its 3 forms and portals as well.

I'm running out of slots for secondary weapons though, cuz I have too many Legendary weapons, starting with like lvl 5 weapons. Having fun though.

Finished Act III. The last boss took about 20 min, but got him on the first try.

Did another run through of the area, picking up most of the collectibles, and then went back to the Crucible. Killed 16 waves, but then that poison thing one-shotted me, sigh.

I also unlocked the second DLC, Argul's Tomb. Kinda curious about that, since I already killed Argul as part of the main game optional quest.

Will try to get Part 2 of the Crucible done this weekend, at least, maybe try for Part 3. I picked up a nice Armour set in the Ivory Citadel- the Angel of Death kit gives me health regen, which combined with my scythes that time health each hit, plus bonus health each kill, plus bonus health each critical hit, PLUS extra "health steal" ... basically, I got a real good build to avoid dying.

I'm expecting 5/10 scores. It looks sub par both in terms of visuals and the combat. I'll be happy if it just does the story/universe justice. I would love to see a fourth and fifth game starring all the horsemen.

Currently about 25 hours into Octopath Traveler and 55 hours into Xenoblade Chronicles 3D. Both are awesome. Love the combat in Octopath, and Xenoblade may be the best character and story-driven game I've ever played. Plus I can play them both portable, which has given me so much more flexibility and time to play Posted Image

Really solid progress with DSII last night. Once again, I'm ready for the final boss fight. Just need to do 3rd set in the Crucible and do one more side-quest dungeon, b/c deep inside it is the last collectible.

I won't be able to 100% the game though, cuz to unlock the last Crucible set requires level 25, and the level cap (which I already hit) for normal game is 22. Which is kinda sad, since I doubt I'll have time for a New Game+ run

kinda dissapointed in the last DLC dungeon. while the previous 2 made good use the new gadgets (Soul Splitter and Void Walker, respectively) for some neat puzzles, this limts you to just using Death Grip (your first tool), and is basically non-stop combat. And the loot is underwhelming.

Still 2/3 good DLC bits isn't bad.
