Point 3, as I said, you were cracking jokes about (gay) sex with your 'rammed down my throat' etc craigs. That was the hypocritical part: (Hypocrisy is the state of pretending to have beliefs, opinions, virtues, feelings, qualities, or standards that one does not actually have). You say you don't want to see it, but you are then going around mentioning (homo)sexual acts rather graphically and somewhat crude in just about every single pun you - intentionally - make.
Finally, there is this, your answer to Cyphon's ironic post (which you answered seriously);

To me, this statement is wrong on several levels.

3) and if it is OK or more OK to show straight scenes than gay/ lesbian scenes, we're actually getting into bigotry territory, because why is this so?
I have no issues with Gothos' statement, even though he may be more severe. The reason for that is that is that he nowhere says this scene should not have been made/ shown, as you have argued, just that he doesn't like seeing it.
Firstly, I'm not pretending to have beliefs about anything. Honestly, I really didn't like the scene. Secondly, if I crack a joke about something, it doesn't mean that secretly I'm in love with the suject matter. If I make a joke about a terrorist, it doesn't mean I'm going to enjoy seeing loads of people getting blown up.
And regarding my response to Cyphon's irony, which YOU assumed I answered 'seriously', have you read the post? I WAS JOKING.

It was an... eventful episode. I liked the ease with which Bronn dispatched sir Whatshisname. Also liked the fact they retained Beric Dondarrion - I had expected them to skip him to keep the cast small, as I think he only becomes important in book 3 or 4 or something, and there's no guarantee the series will run that long, especially not at the time the episode was shot. The Robert-Renly exchange was awesome. Viserys... a pity they portrayed him as being drunk in that scene, the actor was at his best when being venomenously petty. Liked his exchange with Mormont, though - sir Jorah is one of the best cast people so far. Bran and the bandits was not too bad, nice intro for whoever the wildling woman was. But I want more Hodor.
So, apart from that, Emilia Clarke nails her role.
Also kudos for Sansa for being properly mooneyed, that tiny scene she got with the septa, she got it down to a tee.
And poor Theon... losing out on his fave munchie like that...

Wow...good episode!
Bronn´s duel was really good. He showed hi skill, agility and got ser Knight easily. Books version was better, but because of many words from storyteller.
Viserys - I pityed him! In books, I never felt sorry for him, but this .. problem is that my wife was really surprised that he is gone. She is used to series keeping their protagonist longer... Im looking for reactions at Baelor.

The woman who plays Osha is the same one who plays Tonks in the HP movies.
My only complaint is that the wolves weren't there with Bran and co. and are frankly being underutilized throughout IMO. But all in all, awesome episode.

I've really been enjoying the last few episodes and it has been getting progressively better as the series goes on. Last weeks was top for me i think but I really enjoyed the feeling of tonight's episode, it was very tense and it feels like a major turning point. I'm a little late to the discussion and I don't want to start anything up again, so all I'll say is that I enjoyed the Renly/Loras scene and it added an extra layer to the TV series that was mainly just a subtle subtext in the book.
Dany is starting to match how I think of her when I read the character, and eating the heart tonight was just...stomach churning but her whole bearing and manner was brilliant. Joffrey seriously creeps me out still, he is just such a little snake but the way they used him to present Ned's moment of comprehension was just great and the Sansa portions shows her to be quite childish and self-absorbed for all she thinks of herself as a lady, I'm already nervous for her moment of selfishness. Arya and Tyrion are a joy to watch, the are perfect in every scene. I'm missing the wolves being about though. Theon is another character that creeps me out but I feel kind of drawn to him at the same time which is pretty much the same reaction I had in the books.
The largely unspoken exchanges between Bronn and Tyrion were well done and you really sense Bronn is an opportunist.
The dragon and his crown gave me shivers, reminded me of India Jones and the melting face. What was really amazing about the whole scene was the way Dany reacted, her closing words were chilling.

Theon's being pretty perfectly played out. A lot of the stuff in the book you have to infer after the fact (at least as far as book 1 goes), but his conversations with Robb on the show really lay out his boyhood and yearning for manhood, somewhat caught between the Iron culture and the Stark honor. You can kinda tell how much he wants to impress his father, who is virtually a stranger so it's a romanticized notion, and how being a ward irks him cuz he can never be a Stark. He is jealous of Robb for so many reasons, and they kinda had to be on-the-nose about it here to compare/contrast him with Jon Snow. One phrase that's constantly said in the first few books is "I'm almost a man grown" -- nobody says it on the show but it's pretty clearly still a theme with all the young man characters who have to fit themselves into the few notions of real manhood presented to them. Theon's cockiness can get in his way, but the ways in which he finds it so hard to cope, how the realities never fit the images in his head he's had for years, it really was one of the most surprisingly insightful POVs in the books.

Episode 6 was brilliantly great...up to and including the gold crowing moment. Daenerys totally rules now.
Edit: discluding the lesbian scene I mentioned earlier which was in episode 7 that ran on HBO GO last night as a bonus for mobile subscribers.

so, i have become very confused after reading this comment. i've watched episode 6 twice now, then downloaded a torrent skipped through it twice at 2 minute intervals, just to get a sense of the scene and move on, and i have yet to catch a glimpse of any sort of lesbian activity. so i'm a little confused. was this in episode 7 and only the people with HBOGO saw it? or am i honestly missing something? i ask only because i would feel aesthetically slighted if i was not receiving the same calibre of uncensored 'shlicking' as it were.
