Is this anything like what you guys had in mind? Remember it's still a very basic sketch ;)

Fly back, leave the surroundings to speak, the Spire, the blood, countless bodies, and Hood's fiercly taking the life out of Reverence, with Gess and the dog in another coner... Trying to make a closep would never work, I think, as you loose the whole scene SE painted in our minds.

And no to scaly wings, they should be leathery.

Did you even see the finished piece, a few posts up?

I respectfully disagree, of course. Sometimes, the little things have more impact than the larger ones. Bigger is not always better, and sometimes a painting of one grief-stricken face is worth more than a hundred paintings of corpse-littered battlefields. But that's just my opinion. If you reread the scene, you'll notice I've stayed very close to the descriptions given:

"...stared up at the chaotic sky - smoke, Jade Strangers, a day dying to darkness...he looked across the flat expanse."

"Bent showed his teeth to make his claim clear. he is mine."

"Thea heavy thud of wings made Hood turn round - to see a Shi'gal Assassin descend to the great altar. Half crouched yet still towering over the Jaghut, it regarded him with cold eyes."

I believe the wings are described somewhere as feather-scaled...anyone got any quote-fu on this?
Things and stuffs...and other important objects.

"They were all arrogant and totally unprepared to face off against what they ended up fighting - that's why they lost, bad intel'.

Yup, they had the misfortune of being stuck on the continent of Lether and being ignorant of the more refined magic of the rest of the world.

Although when the FA are on top of the Spire towards the beginning of the book, they seem to make at least one vague reference to being involved in the ongoing war on
the continent of Assail where I assume warrens existed.

i'm going to try and draw Hood eating FA(ce)
