Anomandaris got to the end without alliances. He got through even though he was voted consecutively. Eeveryone wanted him out, he was too strong and too powerful at one stage. My biggest mistake was not convincing Eloth that Serc was bad news and not forging an alliance with ano. Biggest mistake. Ano didn't need alliances, he searched for hidden immunity and more often than not succeeded.

So do I give the winning vote to Serc for good alliances and being the sharpest tool in the box? I am saying no. Serc does not get my vote because I do feel bitter, backstabbed, Serc must have voted for me when I got voted out and I was in an alliance with Serc. From my point of view I got killed/voted out because Ano was so crafty and had the hidden immunity. If it wasn't for ano I would say that the whole game would have went differently.

Ano gets my vote, he chose a weak role at the start, he disguised it well and had people convinced he was something else. He wasn't in an alliance or he didn't go out of his way to forge new ones, yet he became stronger throughout the competition. I enjoyed the play of the idols and without Ano, this game wouldn't have been as interesting.

Just a note for posterity but I am loving the final Tribal Council. Seriously. Great arguments between Venge and D'rek, good questions from the jurors thus far!

Here's my take on it.

All three deserve to win. Serc masterminded the alliance and had a good strategy to hold it through until the end of the game. She made big usage of her abilities. Her big weakness was some hubris... she almost was voted out a few times and was probably a bit lucky to make it.

Merrid did a fantastic job building jury votes via relationships. He also was no challenge slouch and thus appears as an extremely well-rounded player. His big weakness is I think he sort of looks like he tagged along with Serc the whole game. Also, he didn't use his abilities much, but they were somewhat underpowered.

Anomandaris is highly responsible for his own survival and by extension, that of Serc and Merrid. He had a very powerful role mid-late game and used it like a champion. His whispers alone got him into the finals. He turned the game for his alliance. However, he appears like he played the game as a lone wolf and doesn't have nearly the jury relationships.

Serc needs to convince the jury that she is the real mastermind. Merrid needs to convince the jury that the relationships he built showed his ability to plan for a lot of contingencies. Anomandaris needs to show that he carried his team to the finals.

I can't wait to see who wins!

Side note. I appreciate what Tapper said on thread. This game was far from perfect, but I really wanted to see how it would play out and I appreciate all sides. The most interesting thing to me is how much it imitates the real game of survivor. Some players like Tapper seem to play and judge with their heads, others like twelve seem to play and judge from their hearts.

I thank all who appreciated, even if it didn't always meet your expectations. If I had not let Tattersail back in to cover for snake0026, the game would have possibly gone very one-sided for the Dureza group, especially since Ano already was the only person in the game with a commanding ability to find idols. It's always a tough call, but that's why the mod handles the rules on the fly as necessary.

Twelve votes for Merrid. He doesn't change his original plan but he does view Ano more favorably now. I think he just really dislikes how Serc/D'rek treated him and is taking it emotionally. Still, emotions are pat of the game and Merrid played his part well!

I still think Serc blew it by keeping Merrid to the end else he would have gotten my vote though I think he will ultimately win anyway without it. I did think that he talked a bit too much at final tribal but he did fight back pretty hard when I was trying to make him look bad during the jury question phase.

Both Merrid and Serc did what one should do better than Ano. Make alliances but be in control of what is going on. I feel even without Ano's idols they would have gone farthest. I'm not sure they would have made it to the end but I think they definately would have been in the running. So in case of a tie pull a black rock lol. Okay maybe not.

Roldom is voting for Ano, primarly based on his thoughts that the idol played so much into the ability of the GB alliance to turn the tide of the game. Hard to fault that line of logic. Interesting in that two people now "say" they think that Serc will win but have voted for different people. Will D'rek be able to find the votes?

id vote for serc, simply because he seamed to be the one in charge of the gentleman bastards, and managed to pull it off, while my dominance with lio and ruse in the cadre seemed to make me more of a target lol

Merrid....well he would get my vote because while i think serc was more in charge on the bastards merrid was the one who i believedwhen he contacted me, and had i not been removed merrid was the one i would of tried to join with.

its a surprisingly tough decision

I think ill go with ano, his finding the idol changed the game completly and i think if we had gotten rid of ano the 1st time we tried it would be pensadors there not dureza

Bent votes much like Karatallid but plays to his heart a bit more. I'm thinking the betrayal from Merrid is a huge issue for Bent.

Serc was too pushy and thinks way too much of herself, when it boiled down to anomandaris using his idols to gain back control for the GB's, without his play, Serc would never have made it to the finals.

Merrid played a good game, but he is a middleweight going against 2 heavy weights. Sorry venge, but you turned on me and Eloth, yet now you talk about how trustworthy Serc was, and you respect that. If it mattered to you, you would have played that way.

Tapper's going to pick Ano, too, based on the idea that he had a good role and played it very well.

I'm surprised that the on-thread discussion makes everyone think Serc is going to win. I think maybe some hubris on her part, the cockiness, is hurting her. Still, an outstanding player!
