Anomander? That n00b?
Anomander RAKE, on the other hand ...
(Hell, I remember Azhar. And Calot. And Loosecannon ... fuck all you kids. Get off my lawn!)
Someone get working on a grandpa-with-shotgun-on-rocking-chair emoticon, stat!
Question #1 for Ano: you old enough to drink yet?

Oh, and I'd interview Anomander Rake in a heartbeat, if I believed he'd participate.

I look forward to the day, many years from now, when I can sit in a rocking chair on the porch polishing my shotgun and glaring at passers-by.
But for now

MTS, English and Classics? That's really great, my sister is going for a PhD in that area (very Greek-centric).
And I commiserate with you're difficulties in writing. I tried to imitate my sister and father growing up (both prolific writers, unpublished unfortunately), but I can't write myself out of a wet paper bag (let alone speak eloquently, sad to say since I can't compensate with good writing...).
So just out of curiosity, any particular focus in classics (if I'm not being to nosy).

Not at all. Mostly Roman and Hellenistic history along with some Latin literature, although I have dabbled in some Greek history. I'm doing a course on the Hellinstic kingdoms and the rise of Rome at the moment, for instance.
