Hetan and Mal's toilet floor is pretty comfortable.
Is this based on experience?

Hello, soldiers, look at your mage, now back to me, now back at your mage, now back to me. Sadly, he isn’t me, but if he stopped being an unascended mortal and switched to Sole Spice, he could smell like he’s me. Look down, back up, where are you? You’re in a warren with the High Mage your cadre mage could smell like. What’s in your hand, back at me. I have it, it’s an acorn with two gates to that realm you love. Look again, the acorn is now otataral. Anything is possible when your mage smells like Sole Spice and not a Bole brother. I’m on a quorl.

Arrangements people!
I can't remember what time we usually turn up but I'll be getting to Cambridge train station probably around 2.30-3pm. Prior appointment unfortuantely. I think that's later than usual so if everyone else is earlier and I miss the lifts, I'll get a cab over. Anyone else arriving at the station at a similar time is welcome to sponge a cab ride from me.
I'll let you know exact train times when I know what others are doing but if I'm the last one to show up, there's a better chance that I won't end up the most drunk and disgrace myself ..... .again

If Illy gets on the 05:40* or 06:25** train we can make it there for 12 - I'll leave others to speculate on how likely this is...
*Bargain prices too, cheapest ticket to be had!
**50p more - what a rip off eh?

I've already bought tickets to get to Swindon station for 12:30, and IH is getting in at 12:10. The train leaves here at 9:10 or something, which is far more sane.

I know have a ridiculous image of Her Majesty tippling pints of Guiness wearing one of those godawful brightly coloured hat and coat combinations with gloves and a handbag and all..
On a side note we had a test run for the bbq last night with Powder and Mrs Powder here - weather was fantastic, much Pimms, beer, wine and good were consumed.

Thought Queen was generally Gin O'Clock (at least according to her tweets)
I assume that we have to guess what was good.... maybe sausage? maybe an entire wildebeest? Am sure we will be enlightened in 2 weeks

Any word on when you want picking up from the station yet, you dopey bastards.
Sorry Mezla, I'll be drunk by 2.30 so no lift possible from me.
@Illy, you've never slept in the toilet, but I have seen you in there on occasion using the big white telephone to god.

So I'm up for meeting at King's Cross around 12:30ish...does that fit for anyone else? I can change it around if need be. Consulting National Rail, I discover that Illy will probably be getting to KGX around 14:15...

No worries, I checked the trains and the most likely time for me to get into Cambridge station is 15:01 so I can make my own way there no problem.
I randomly bumped into Toby on my commute to work this morning. I couldn't place him at first as it was so out of context but then I managed to yell "Toby" in the middle of a station platform and nearly walked into a lamp post.

That'll be news to Illy - shall I make a detour and drop him off there?
On second thoughts, he's bringing a sword along, better not.
@Mezla
Classic, and you were sober then, right? No response from the two as to lunch plans yet so will get back to you as and when

Lunch? it's a BBQ
Last year I picked you guys up at 12.30.
What's with the change of plans this time? Regardless, if one of you lot can just furnish me with something resembling a time to be at the station I'll be there, but make it early.

If all goes well, I should be arriving to Cambridge around 13:00. I have to go to the hotel first to check in and drop off my stuff. That should take some 30-45 minutes, which means that I can be back at the station by 14:00 (my hotel is not far away).
If that's too late for the luxury limousine pick up and if there are any other people stranded at the station around that time, I'm all for brotherly/sisterly taxi sharing.
Failing that, I might take my chances with the local bus that - if I read the map correctly - should take me somewhere near Hetan & Mal's in about an hour...

The problem with people who have no vices is that generally you can be pretty sure they're going to have some pretty annoying virtues.

I haven't heard back from Hetan regarding exact plans, but we'd like to spend Saturday morning being touristy in Cambridge. We were waiting for some sort of advice from Hetan regarding public transport, specifically busses. Seeing as how that isn't mentioned in this thread shall I take it that isn't an option? If it isn't then we could also split a taxi with some of the later comers, although we will need to figure out how to get into Cambridge in the first place then.
