I went with The Bonehunters. But the one-two punch of BH and RG made it hard to choose between them.
Favourite "Malazan Book of the Fallen" novel Now that the Crippled God is out...

DG is my favorite. It got me hooked onto the series more than GotM did. I also liked that Duiker was the one whose PoV was used in narrating the Chain of Dogs, which was brilliant IMO.
MoI comes a close second, and TCG and MT are tied for third.

Bump, can we get more votes in here?
I'd like to here everyones thoughts as I'm only on Deadhouse Gates.
Are the rest of the books as good as the first two, or does the series degrade like a song of ice and fire?

100 votes is a pretty solid sampling.
They came with white hands and left with red hands.

I went with my first instinct and picked Gardens of the Moon but it could have been any of them. Toll the Hounds, Reapers Gale spring to mind as second and third.
Apt is the only one who reads this. Apt is nice.

I picked Reaper's Gale.
Partly to irritate Loki.

Laseen did nothing wrong.
I demand Telorast & Curdle plushies.

Voted GotM for giving me that sense of wonder and a "How cool is this Malazan 'verse and what else am I going to see over the next few months?" vibe. To be honest, I could've gone with any of the other books - barring DoD and RG (didn't particularly fancy those two) - for different but valid reasons.

I feel that within the context of the series the Bonehunters is my absolute favourite... followed closely by Gardens and Memories of Ice. A runner up nod has to go for the Crippled God
