Couldn't sleep last night so I decided to paint something. Started out as a portrait of a friend, ended up as a painting of Poliel, inspired by Ruiz and Andrew Jones:

Great work

The eyes are especially ...striking
HiddenOne. You son of a bitch. You slimy, skulking, low-posting scumbag. You knew it would come to this. Roundabout, maybe. Tortuous, certainly. But here we are, you and me again. I started the train on you so many many hours ago, and now I'm going to finish it. Die HO. Die. This is for last time, and this is for this game too. This is for all the people who died to your backstabbing, treacherous, "I sure don't know what's going on around here" filthy lying, deceitful ways. You son of a bitch. Whatever happens, this is justice. For me, this is justice. Vote HiddenOne Finally, I am at peace.

I guessing you won't be telling your friend that a portrait of her ended up as Poliel? :(

Edit: Which is very good by the way, this portrait pretty much solidify's my image of her along these lines.

Para todos todo, para nosotros nada.

MottI'd always pegged you as more of an Ublala

I kinda love it when D'rek unleashes her nerd wrath, as I knew she would here. Sorry innocent bystanders, but someone's gotta be the kindling.

Fantastic stuff Grim, one of your best.

It's already been mentioned but the eyes are great, I also like the "stitching" (?), very creepy.
Now all the friends that you knew in school they used to be so cool, now they just bore you.
Just look at em' now, already pullin' the plow. So quick to take to grain, like some old mule.

Cool. But not sure if Your friend is going to be happy with that.

I feel torn. One part of me says it's a great portrait of Poliel, and the second one keeps telling that she is a bit too charming for a goddes of disease :(

Thank you!!!

I originally intended for that area to be painted, but I couldn't stand the idea of covering up the skin I'd worked so hard on,hehe.

that is one amazing picture. but, I thought when I read Poliel's description has having a beak and talons with a sort of reptilian face... maybe I read that when I was sleeping. but either way I love this portrait!
